I can see it now, it'll be Persona, but it'll probably be a mobile game with microtransactions. Killing franchises is the in thing to do now. Look what capcom did with breath of fire.

So it looks like this thread is going to be a P5 console battleground up until... probably until it gets closed.
I have no doubt it will be on PS3, but I suspect FFXIII levels of tears when it gets announced for 360 and Wii U. 3DS would be god-tier butthurt, but I don't expect it. Lol at people thinking Atlus is going to send Persona out to die on the Vita. I would just pray for PS4 so you can Remote Play it and then continue the deluded expectations that Remote Play will work perfectly outside of your house until the truth to that gets outed in November too. November should be interesting.

A second screen hardly warrants destroying people's dreams of getting a good looking HD Persona game. Everyone who played Catherine got spoilt and can't come back that easily.
I think a lot of people will be disappointed in a few months

Speaking of development time, how did Atlus manage to release P4 two years after P3? Were those games in development at the same time?
I played Catherine while it looks good for an Atlus game i am perfectly fine with going back to play Persona on my PS2. just completed p3p on my psp after i completed catherine. and still get absorbed into the world. I guess i am kind of special thinking that the graphics really dont add anything special to my experience. Because i was fine with the look of that. If a game is fun to play it is fun to play off course we cant stand still in the look and feel of games development. But the 3ds is a current console and i am fine being on that i prefer it on that or wii u but wont complain if it comes to ps3 or vita. I only think it adds to the experience by removing the map and making it easier to navigate.

I have no info on that but I'll just guess because they are basically ''the same game'' if you know what I mean plus probably they had ideas of 4 when they were finishing P3. 2 years isn't that short time in the end.

Anyone think it's significant, at all, that Sho is on the Persona 3 characters' side in the new P4U trailer? Could he possibly also be a new character in a P3 Vita/PS3 update that also has ties to Yasogami High and P4 characters? I'm just throwing shit at the wall to see if anything sticks, here...

I like the multiple announcement theory, that gives me hope.
Still hope red isn't the color, it doesn't really stand out with P2's big marketing blitz based on red.

I'm the opposite way. I think this shows they're wrapping up Arena's story in Arena and keeping it separate.
I would. Like I've said a bazillion times, everything Hashino has ever directed has been on consoles. He's never done a handheld game.

Bwahahahah no. Were people absent when Persona 3 or 4 or Golden came out. DS was destroying everything, Atlus made the majority of their titles for DS and Wii, but Persona 4 came out on the PS2. Same with Golden except it was on the Vita.

It could totally be a wrap-up. I feel like it could go either way. They could still drop hints, too.
This is all canon and if P5 is in the same universe (why wouldn't it be?) they'll need to consider any major happenings in that story. But that would be background stuff like the broader Nyarlythotep narrative. On the surface I expect it to be its own game entirely.

Aniplex/Sony are always being media partner for modern persona game, who that become producer for Persona's anime? you got that right.
I think even Supporting artist like Lotus Juice tied to Sony (CMIIW), unless the new game goes to ultra radical direction in style, properties and even marketing.. I wouldn't make that bet.
Ha ha, I wish I could've seen it. Only noticed P4 a year or two ago. Bought it on the PS2 for $20 on amazon. Might double dip with Golden if I have the time. Playing a 100 hour RPG again is something I'll wait on lol.

Persona 4 Golden was a PSP remake originally and moving to Vita was decided on before the system launched. The Persona brand has even made it's way to Xbox, I wouldn't rule out the franchise making it to 3DS in some form.
I don't think Persona 5 on 3DS is particularly likely, but maybe another Persona 3 remake or something along those lines isn't too hard to see happening.
What if it's both?
If we assume it is indeed three announcements, I think the most obvious guesses are: P5, P3 Golden, and USH.
I'm guessing they're going to hold a live stream at that site or something.
