Going by this thread and all the previous ones, I can smell 2 long months of carnival of stupid about the platform.
The conversation being:
- PS3 because Catherine was a test bed, because every Persona ever was on Sony platforms. And crossmedia branding.
- Vita because the above, P4G performed well and "please don't die, Vita! "
- 3DS because Atlus loves Nintendo. Proof: if you exclude Playstation and mobile games, they're only developing on Nintendo hardware. Also, there's a crossover game, which means going exclusive (see: Nobunaga x Pokemon, Koei obviously went Nintendo exclusive afterwards)
- WiiU because "open your eyes, WiiU, you're gonna be okay"
- 360 because PS3 and it's big in Japan. Well, mostly big
- mobile because that asshole is stealing our jobs and our women




Even 4 and a half if you count Persona Mobile Online.

Well, all the games are set in the same universe. If P5 continues that trend (and nothing suggests it won't, so there's no reason to suspect as much) then Arena will be a thing that has happened, yes.

This does not mean the game will reference it or that the characters will be aware of it, however.

Pointed out earlier in the thread, but the ASW logo isn't on the site. I think the game is a part of it, but it's certainly not what the site is centered on.

You're right though. But we cannot count that out. Maybe it's something like a "Persona Universe" or opening of Persona Cafe/Stores that will contain details of the Persona series (pointing out the 3 boxes on the top). I'm not feeling this is a console game announcement at all.

I wasn't a poster yet then, but I remember Duckroll and Aeana joking about it in the Mediacreate threads. That was my interpretation at least.

My guesses then would be Persona 4 Arena Ultra Suplex (Arcade/PS3/360 and maybe Vita), a Persona 3 remake (3DS) and Persona 5 (PS3/360 and maybe PS4/XB1).
