SE does not understand how to handle gold spammers, and you only need to visit their account management
When people say Warrior is bad, are they over exaggerating? or is that they're bad for end-game? In the dungeons I've been in so far (level 43 atm), the Warrior's I've seen have tanked better than the Paladin's I've been with. I know Paladin's are ultimate defense, but it just doesn't seem like Warrior sucks.
I haven't used customer support for FFXIV, but their customer support for FFXI was dreadful. They take forever to respond via emails, and they never solve anything. I ended up calling them a few times for some issues and it's like the people on the phone are all pissed off for having to do anything. You can barely get them to do anything on the phone unless you really go out of your way with your complaining. Nexon has the worst customer service, but as far as MMOs goes, I'd rank SE's customer support at number 2 from my own personal experiences.

But is there a code of some sort that lets you download it from the store? i.e gives you digital rights to the game?
you get a product registration code and a game registration code.
It will prompt a download of the game but I had already installed it via disc so I didn't.

As long as no one hacks into my account so I don't have to deal with customer support, I will be good.
if the gear and skill is equal, PLD will always be much better than WAR. I just had to run aurum vale with an awful WAR that made me wait till 75% to start attacking every mob so I'm salty. Maybe I've just been getting bad luck with WARs though.
That example says you got a shitty tank, not that warriors suck, considering that holding threat isn't one of the issues warriors have end game.
I guess you get in the game at the wrong hours, because the only thing I read on the FC chat is CM/AK (I have no idea what they are) party forming left and right

Thanks for helping out my wife (Leolin) with Garuda! That battle was awesome, just a rush to watch. Whoever composed the music for these primal battles needs to get a raise.
Unfortunately this is the case. The game may have changed but some of their practices haven't. They honestly have no idea how to deal with RMT. Even things like updates fixing things is always such a time consuming ordeal and it takes them forever to ever do anything.
It baffles me I mean the gil sellers are so in the open all it would take is a few reps on each server in each town catching and banning these people. Ban them and their master account and any alts associated with it. Within a week or two that would make a huge dent in the problem. As for the markets once they sort this out they will even themselves out if they can fix this soon they can't really let this go for much longer.

Making some of the main story quests require a party is ridiculous, especially when I've been in duty finder for over an hour trying to find a party to do a dungeon. Irritating.
Theyre definitely doing something about gilsellers. I know its anecdotal but theres a noticeable drop in the amount of shouts I see and tells I get now compared to 2-3 weeks ago.
I feel for those who got banned though. Seems shitty of them to just blanket ban people just for having a certain amount of gil.

That's scary. Ban then investigate is not the way to go about it, but I'm glad to see gil buyers won't be given a free pass like they are in most MMOs where only the sellers are punished.
Edit: Just read the reddit link. 8 million gil? LOL I'm safe. Some of these people are really clueless though, saying anyone with millions of gil bought it. I've made around 2m all legit from crafting greens on my weaver.
I wonder if can make that kind of money with culinarian lol.

Good crafters need to be multiclassed enough to easily squeeze HQ 1-star stuff out of NQ materials.
On Ultros at least weaver seems to have way less competition than leatherworker at the moment. Maybe 2-4 people with HQ 1 stars up, compared to 3-4x that amount on anything leather. I rarely have to reprice due to undercutting, but I'm sure that'll change before long. I make most of my money on 1 star crafter gear.

Man, I now understand the title of this thread. Tried to get through the CM story and watch the cut scenes. NOPE. Team speed-run left me high and dry, until I got some kind of bug where I actually couldn't progress and was surrounded by a circular invisible wall, and was stuck there until it was over and I left from the DF.
edit: Is there an intended difficulty spike around level 40 for gathering? Up until now, if I kept up with even level gear I always met the Gathering/Perception requirements for bonuses, and my HQ rate was 13-15%, but now I'm under the requirements and my HQ rate is at 3% at level 43. I'm clueless.
Edit Edit: I wasn't equipping a secondary weapon. ... ... ... lol.

I was a GM for FFXI and XIV v.1 and this is the exact reason I don't play either one of the games now. A lot of the policies are so ass backwards, illogical and unethical. At any moment, if you are suspected of any wrong-doing or have any interaction at all with a suspected accounted (even if it's unprompted) there is a chance you will be suspended. And if that happens you're more than likely banned shortly after without consideration. They don't even give you a reason as to why you were banned, no matter how many inquiries you submit. The only accounts that Square Enix cares enough about to investigate properly are the JP accounts.
Is it really that bad? Damn. I read about people asking why they were banned and being told they needed a court order for that information, but I wasn't sure if it was true.

Better to try to find a FC that at least will work cohesively and appreciate my play
When others try to cock-block you from joining groups were they feel insecure that I might lot on their weapon or some shit, it's not a good place to be
If anything I'll just server transfer out to maybe Sar or Excali if nothing comes to be
