My game soundtracks are my most treasured gaming items, 49 Soundtracks. I've always loved video game music ever since I was a child, definitely my most favorite aspect of a game especially when it fits so well with the gameplay, aesthetics and atmosphere

The sealed soundtracks are likely the most rare ones I own, Devil May Cry 1, Onimusha 2, Silent Hill 2 & Sonic Adventure 2

Oh my god, this is absolutely wild!

I wish I was a better photographer, but these are the only 'treasures' in my collection. I'd really like to get a signed piece, something I'd truly call a treasure, like a Yuji Horii Dragon Quest or Masahiro Ito Silent Hill. Speaking of, if anyone has the Silent Hill Drawing Block, I might cry.

The second one I no longer own but was pretty special. It's the style guide for Kingdom Hearts. When I worked at Disney Interactive I used to clean out old employees workspaces. I'd find some cool odds and ends and we were supposed to throw them out but I couldn't do that on certain occasions and this was one of them.

Sheeeet! Did you sell it?? Would've kept that forever!

you got TWO OF THEM!?! =O

Right now I don't carry much as most of my stuff relies in my home city; and I wouldn't call them "rarities" at all, but...

Limited Edition Super Mario badge that was offered in Club Nintendo some years ago for the 25th anniversary. I am sure these were a reprint or something.

Sick poster of Psychonauts signed by the man himself, Tim Schafer. These are available at the Double Fine store, though.

Wonderfull poster of The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddess that is available for sail on the tour. I wish I could get Koji Kondo or someone to sign it.

I went to IGN HQ to attend their 2012 GOTY thing... I shook hands with the people behind Borderlands 2, ME3, Halo 4, Hotline Miami, Walking Dead, and FTL. I then went on to win a copy of Borderlands GOTY edition from 2K at the event. I later sold it to Gamestop and got The Last Remnant instead.

Got a pretty big collection of everything, but this was one of the more recent things I got (outside of Tail Concerto obviously) that I really like. Those books are ridiculously detailed and you can see how much love went into creating the entire world when you go through all that art and whatnot. Had to smuggle most of it out of Japan though.

Okay, so at least I'm not the only one crazy enough to have a lifesize statue (sorry for the website i'm linking the image to... it's actually my statue, but screenshot comes from the original ebay auction I bought it from.)

If anyone lives in Melbourne and is willing to pay a pretty penny for it, I'm probably at the point where I'd sell it...

Awesome stuff! I love those games and the very elaborate world they created. I think Solatorobo will be a very sought after game in the future.

This thread makes me sad that I've never really kept or obtained anything crazy like this. But it's SO fun to look through. I prefer this thread to the pick-up post thread. All the Mega Man swag has me jelly.

The original plan was to only have one, but then I realized I was never using it because I didn't want to give it any wear and tear. I justified my second purchase under the guise that I'd have one to play with as normal, and one to keep boxed up in case the first one broke down.

Now they're both kept boxed up. Barf.

wow... there is some cool stuff on here. The coolest thing I had was a xbox launch 360 that I won off of the mountain dew game they had back then. I was sooo happy.. I got it early (before it came out in stores, by like a week or 2).... came with hats and tshirts.

I was at Walmart the other day and see they are doing another contest. I already have both consoles reserved and paid in full, but I am thinking I might try my luck again and see if lightining can strike twice!

Thank you! I wouldn't exclude the possibility, though there have been plenty of them in circulation, especially in Europe. But it's definitely underrated, that's for sure.

GODDAMMIT.

It pisses me off when I see those Ninja 5-0 carts. I had a copy I bought for 7.99 by chance as it looked awesome (ITS FUCKING AWESOME).

Theres only 1 copy on ebay and it's ÂŁ55 ($100) unboxed.

Why am I pissed off? I borrowed it to a friend and he "lost it" never to be seen again! I still have the box though...

You could sell the box for a pretty penny.

You could sell the box for a pretty penny.

Aren't boxes for truly rare cart games often worth more than the game as most people threw them out?

I remember hearing the lady who found a boxed NES Stadium Events (NTSC) and some collector offered like 10 grand for the box and maybe the manual

Guy didn't care about the game as he already had a copy

Same goes for that Atari game that sold for like 30K this year or last because it was boxed

First post so this seems like as good a place as any! Got a few treasures, a couple of well received Wii Games (Xenoblade Chronicles and Metroid Prime Trilogy) and a by now quite rare XBox game that I probably can't even play any more (Street Fighter Anniversary Collection) :/ - Picture

And my most prized possession, even if i am missing all the cases since they broke a long time ago. Still have all the discs for Final Fantasy 7-9 and Vagrant Story, all still work as well, even if it does look a bit rubbish nowadays when its massively blown up when you play them on the PS3! Got some pics of them here

Also have Final Fantasy 10 and KH 1 and 2 as well, but as you can see lighting in my flat is terrible so i won't torture you any more with it :P

Best I have is a Sandvich Replica from TF2 (like 200 made) and a Nintendo Sage pin + certificate from Nintendo's old forums (I don't remember how many exist).

Neither of those images are mine.

Oh yea, and I have an animation cell from SATAM, but I don't actually know where it is. It's not lost per-say, I just can't remember what box it's in and it's hard to get to it to check.

Funny enough, the Sandvich came with an in-game item for TF2 I could resell for 5x what I paid for the replica, but I'm hanging onto it.

And also my dev consoles, I realy like them and I try to get some games for them but it's not that easy:

enGuo45l.jpg

Nice!

I also have a Wii U dev kit for my collection as well, but obviously, I am forbidden from taking photos of it.

Which means I need to be careful whenever I take a new feature set photo of my collection in the future to be sure to hide it. lol

Weirdly, Nintendo always created their own guides for RPGs or big adventures and packed them in. It's awesome but weird since they only seem to have done it for Germany and France.

That's pretty cool, didn't know that. Think the only one we had gotten packed in over here in the US was Earthbound (if there were others, I don't recall them). Bought the others separately.

Would love a Lufia guide (1 or 2), I love those games.

Way back when Jetpack Joyride first came out on iOS, I was hooked. I played for a solid month straight trying to get all 125 badges to see (what I thought) would be an end game. That came and past so I sent the dev's an e-mail asking
if the game was broken
since I got the last medal and it just restarted with nothing.

Long story short, the dev's were amazed that someone actually got the 125th medal, let alone doing it within a month. They sent me a huge poster board with all of their autographs which I hang proudly in my room. It was the first time I had ever had the chance to do anything like this in my 36 years of gaming.

They even did an interview and posted it to their blog:

I would say, this statue of Link in Twilight Princess. It's a Nintendo Vip reward (15.000 points in Belgium). Out of stock for a few years now.

Super Mario Bros signed by Shigeru Miyamoto and Shenmue signed by Yu Suzuki:

I've also got a mint, sealed copy of Super Mario RPG that I count among my treasures and is probably the most valuable game I own, but my SNES games are packed away and I don't feel like digging it out.

Oh fuck! I've got a treasure somewhere I HAVE to try and find. I think it's in a box somewhere in the attic at my parent's house. It's a letter from Ultimate: Play The Game (now Rare) congratulating me on being the first person to finish Sabre Wulf on the ZX Spectrum. Jesus, that was almost thirty years ago.

I could not decide what was my most precious so i posted my top 5 :P

A better pic of Mr B.
He's about 7' tall. The ceiling is high. As was I when I bought him.

Don't ever sell him.

He'll be like your own personal Stanley Cup: all the stories and troubles I moving him from place to place; the time your dog humped it's leg...

and so on... :)
