Odd, but it actually looks like Quilladin has decent speed unless the second one has a +speed nature cause I do know the first one has a -speed nature.

Here's a better picture of /vp/'s Quilladin:

And yea, Quilladin seems to have a decent Speed stat.

I don't get the Zangoose/Serviper thing. So you encounter them together, as a horde, and then at some point the majority of them will turn against the minority they're fighting alongside? I mean, I understand they're natural enemies -- snakes and mongooses -- but I'm just trying to understand how this plays out in horde battles.

I wonder if going 3D will hold Pokemon back in the future.. I imagine generations will become smaller and smaller to get them to fit on a 3DS cartridge. =/

Historically, there are jack and shit for Fire Pokemon in the games outside of the starter. You can't go outside without tripping on Grass mons (and at least one will be halfway ok), and Water isn't that far behind.

I think it was BW or maybe BW2 that changed it up? Where there was Magmar really early in the game and you didn't get a good Water Pokemon until forever and a day?

Besides, with a special Torchic effectively coming with the game, along with the choice of a Charizard in game... plenty of reason to not pick the Fire Starter this time.

Do we know, outside of the Legendary, Mega Mewtwo X/Y, and the aromatherapy / cotton candy mons, of what's version exclusive yet? I'm leaning towards X because the various people I play with are aiming for Y, but would like to make a... at least somewhat informed decision.

Also: Heh, Mega Charizard apparently has an X and a Y mode too. I wonder if Blastoise and Venusaur are going to have X and Ys as well. Probably, I suppose.

We probably won't find out all of the version exclusives until after the guide comes out or something at the very least.

I'm pretty sure you can attack your teammates in double battles. Same principle here.

The entirety of X and Y fits onto 1.7 GB, that includes models for all 649 pokemon and the 30ish alternate forms to date. The 3DS flash carts can be expanded in the future. You have nothing to worry about.

Heh, so it did have a +speed nature. But still the speed stat is decent cause having another bulky, slow x4 weakness to something grass starter just probably isn't gonna cut it.

I dont take Pokemon very seriously, I just pick shit I think looks cool, and lean towards fire any chance I get, because fire is rad :P

Have we seen the other 2 starters final forms yet?

Just woke up. Lol at no Chespin3 yet.

So has Grenninja been confirmed as Froakie's final form? (not from Nintendo obviously, but from in-game shots)

Delphox is total meh. Fennekin will definitely be the last starter I use in a play-through.

You can target your teammates in multi battles.

Sounds like the enemies will attack each other instead of you.

It's not really typical for them to release more than one generation on the same hardware, I don't really see how this could be a problem?

GB - Gen 1
GBC - Gen 2
GBA - Gen 3
DS - Gen 4 and 5
It's really not the precedent.

Urgh. Just, urgh. How could they mess up that final evolution so badly? Braixen had some really fantastic touches, like the stick which looks like a broom when placed in the tail or a staff when held, and the fur which kinda looks like a robe/dress but is recogniseable as fur. Delphox just looks boring, no stick as a staff, tail looks like a lump glued onto the back and the dress doesn't even look like fur any more.

Praying for Chespin to have a decent final evo now, otherwise I'm boxing the starter immediately.

Fair enough, but I figured Nintendo wouldn't go new gen handheld anytime soon. Its hard to say though, technology and competition is evolving, and I just wonder what their long term plan is.

This game is like 1.7 GB or something and 3DS carts go up to 8GB(though I doubt they'll need to use a cart this big before the next Nintendo handheld comes out) so that won't happen anytime soon.

Delphox is cool. It looks like a cool witch/wizard.

It's not the fire started I wish we had, but after seeing Braxien it as clear we weren't gonna get that anyway.

Oh, really? Ok that makes me feel better. Its crazy how much they can fit on those damn things.. so many freaking Pokemon, and in 3D no less. Wow.

At the same time, why so few new Pokemon this gen? (allegedly)

Still no Froakie 3?

This is simply because he is biding his time, stalking about in the shadows like a true ninja. He will only strike when the fire is hot.

Still not seeing what's so offensive about Delphox. A little bland maybe, but that's it.

Because it didn't live up to people's lofty expectations. They're feeling really, really disappointed.

Still better than if Fennekin were to become Fire/Fighting. This thread would be flooded with "FENNEKIN RUINED FOREVER" posts to an asinine degree.

If its true then they probably just didn't want too add many whether its due to the number of total pokemon already or mega evolutions.
