I love the thinness of it. If they made the new Vita look exactly like the original (OLED included) but changed the sides and back to look like the new one does now, it would be awesome.

Can anyone who's ordered from Amazon Japan let me know how easy it is to get on of those 64gb cards sent to me? I bought something off the European site and it was painless, but is the Japanese one restrictive?

OLED aside, i prefer vita 1000's look. 2000 looks really nice at certain angles with its smooth curves though. love the khaki colored one too.
but 1000 is still the way to go imo. maayyyyybe the 3000 in due time.
Oh gosh, EASILY. Really fun platformer that can get QUITE difficult. I enjoyed it a lot.
After being disappointed by the new Vita, I finally decided to go for a used OLED model + 32gb card + P4G aka the only retail game I really wanted. I won't play P4G anytime soon though as I don't have the time now for such a game.
Regarding Plus I will join the club some time soon. I am in Europe btw. Until when will Gravity Rush and Uncharted be free? As for the monthly games I don't care one bit for SFxT, especially on a portable, but how about Touch my Katamari? Is it any good compared to the other games or is more or less the same? I loved the first one, then played the second one and just got bored, so I am not sure if this will be any different.
Then there's also Jak Trilogy, but I 've already played 1 and 2 so maybe I 'll pass on this too.

This picture made me realize how much I really don't like the silver bar around the OLED vita. The new Vita really does look nice from the sides and back, but I can't get over the cheap plastic look on the front and the weird box around the screen.

congrats on the purchase! we don't know when the annual IGC games will get swapped out, but it's assumed in november, as thats when the first group initially went up.

Screen looks like crap when next to the OLED screen but by itself? Still looks good.

The first picture is of cardboard, and many of them are comparing the screens at different brightness settings.

No idea but if it's similar the the AU store I think it's a permanent price drop. It's showing $3.65 for me and I'm pretty sure I payed at least $5-10 for it.

Why not just calculate it? 1 gb on a computer system is 1.0737gb in our usage. This will give about 59.6gb on the 64gb card. Not because you lose space, but because the computer counts bits in a binary system.

loving rayman origins. was a wee bit turned off to it when i tried the demo back on ps3, but its feeling great cruising through levels on the vita. i think i'm about halfway through the game ( world 5 or 6). so far difficulty isn't too bad. i'm not making it a point to 100% it though. just going along at my own pace, usually nailing on average 3 of the 5 tasks per level. time trials are never fun in my opinion so i'm not even attempting those. I could definitely see how aiming to get all the lums could add a bit of challenge though.
man - i just cant keep up with the pace of free games coming out and the ones i want to buy. its just to hard to say no to the freeness. I'm in the middle of P4G and NLKS and now Origins has taken over. All of it is preventing me from KZM and DC... then there Ys, batman, and TEARAWAY. ugh. my goal is to beat origins which i should pretty soon actually. then go back to NLKS and get that done before tearaway. that game deserves a day 1. ( so did KZM though ;__; )

I did the calculation. The discrepancy is because HDD manufacturers count 1000 bytes as a kilobyte but the OS uses 1024 bytes as a kilobyte.
If I do the calc again...your 59.6 is about spot on.

So if day 1, with nothing on the card yielded "29gb" space in the system menu, I'm wondering how the Vita OS rounds and such too...
Hence, I just want confirmation is all... that it should be 59gb or higher showing free.
I remember the disappointment of the conversion for 20gb + the reserved system space on a 360 meaning you only got about 13gb to use.
I'd like to know *exactly* what my $103 is going to buy me.

Pretty sure you can't -- if you try to download it, it will only put it on a PS3 system, I think.
It plays so well that I had to pull myself from the demo.
