On Gaming and on Football GAF yeah, its mostly the same people most of the time
Sometimes you get to know the posting style and general opinion so well, that you can with immense accuracy predict what someone will say.
Give me a topic on Gaming and list 10 posters who regularly post, and you can pretty much write their replies for them, its very predictable.
I found it much harder to do that in OT

I'm JaseC's american clone.
usually by their avatar first and by their name sometime after. i would lose track of the majority if they changed avatar. it's a lot easier to get to know the people who post about one particular topic often rather than just a little bit in everything, so if you bail out of discussion early than you're probably unknown to me

Well I remember you cause we post in the same TV threads, I remember all of the F1GAF guys, I tried with anime GAF but I couldnt get into that community despite being a giganto anime nerd.
Everyone else, no.
EDIT: Actually I have some people on ignore, and I guess I must have recognized them since I deemed them incompatible with me over a period of time.

I really only recognize Fiction and JaseC. Fiction because of Sherlock Cumberbatch and JaseC because of Saoirse Ronan. I think I'm starting to remember a few others.

-MLB gaf
-people from KC
-BlameSpace and BBoyAJ because we all came from Nintendorks (is Satch from GAF our old friend from NDorks?)
-Belic, for making a game I love
-Raging Spaniard for being such an incredible illustrator(something I do professionally)
-a lot of people from PoliGAF, even though I don't post there much, I lurk quite a bit
-the typical "high profile" people: Amirox, Devo, Timedog, etc
-mods
-Cornballer, who should be one
People who I generally think I agree with, despite not being able to put my finger on why:
-FunkyPapa
-BenGraven
-the guy whose name I can't remember but has a Tyrion scribblenauts avatar and owns one of the GoT sites
-the guy who I think is newer and has kind of a "tough guy" avatar, of an illustration of a dude in a basketball jersey
-Dax
-Dark Octave
These are all people who I see their avatar and just have a feeling I'm going to agree with them.
Toxic Adam and Enzark are both people I like despite not necessarily agreeing with them too much.
People I have a negative impression of (sorry!):
- Tuco Benedicto something for being such a PC warrior
- 140.65 (or whatever, with the foxhound av)
-(._.)
I'd love to change my mind about the above people. I feel like all three may have fucked with me in the past, but I could be wrong.
-I used to be annoyed with Dominican Power and his antics, but I just didn't get him... Now I actually find his trolling pretty amusing.
-I find myself sticking to OT more and more. Gaming a lot of times takes itself too seriously by comparison.
-I always was entertained by Aguirre.
All of the above opinions are based on very vague, nebulous images I have of people and I may very well have them all wrong.
Also, I'm pretty sure that there is very nearly nobody who recognizes me, despite the fact I've been here for like 7 years. Which isn't necessarily a complaint.
