ClassyPenguin is getting all up in JaseC's shit rocking Saoirse Ronan avy's.

There is only on other user I've seen with a Hayley avy, and that's Antii. Very sporadic poster though.

Cyanide Strike tried it for a while, but I just wasn't having it. Only one Hayley stalker in BritGAF thanks very much!
 
It's incredibly easy to recognize people on GAF, from both gaming side and off topic. Avatars and ideologies behind anything is what makes it easy, from how to take a shit or if capital punishment works or not. Remembering someone's posting past makes some discussions pretty juicy.

I especially remember people if they post in a style I like reading, or if the post stuff I constantly agree with or disagree with. All it takes is one incredibly insightful or polarizing thread/post and I'll remember that person for a long time.

I didn't refer to anyone (I recognize most GAFers on gaming!), but Riggs is like, the coolest guy on GAF. No doubt the person I'd most want to hang out with on a Friday night.
 
The hardest people to recognize are fresh junior members. The easiest people to recognize are members that get juniorized, makes me look through their post history instantly.

Plywood - The tag.
Amir0x - Youtube comments, actually. lol
Courage - Breaking Bad thread.
Fiction - The horse_ebooks ARG thread.
Log4Girlz - Makes me laugh in almost every post.
Sn4ke_911 - The username.
Horse Detective - A horse detective.
foxuzamaki - Smash Thread.
blame space - ugh

And... that's about everyone I can remember. So, mostly the big posters in GAF. >.>

EDIT: And Yoshichan! Mostly because he argues a lot in the Gaming side.
 
I recognise and remember all of wrestle Gaf and football Gaf but don't post all that much in either these days so they will probably know of me but not much more

In OT I recognise a lot of folk by their name / avatar / style but again I rarely post and have a generic style so I imagine folk will have seen my avatar but wouldn't know who it belongs to

V_Arnold - The guy who has quoted me more than anyone else on GAF. I still don't know if he likes me or not
Corran Horn - The God of gifs; knows exactly what I need and when I need it.
Zlatko - The definition of top tier right here. Knows know bounds; back in the days, I could find him in every thread (be it Halo, SC, FGC). Now he's mostly inactive, but he's still awesome.
Pandaman - The zerg player I love to hate, truly a fantastic poster overall
Fanboi - Continous bash against me but that's what makes him so much fun!
Credo - You never, ever post - but I do love talking to you on Steam!
Riggs - Well, fuck. You're never in Gaming but I love you anyway.
Hazaro - A Starcraft 2 thread without Hazaro is not a good thread. Adds a lot to the atmosphere of threads, with his bias towards Brood War and his amazing capture footage-skills during tournaments.
Entropia - My first WoW-GAF friend! You're the best, man!
Holden - My favorite French GAFer; your posts are funny as hell!
Dark Schala - Read a thread where Dark Schala posts and you'll be entertained for at least a couple of hours. Lots of heated discussions come from this excellent poster
Duckroll - Although scary to talk to at times, he can still be funny, and point out some really valid stuff in heated discussions
Fersis - Funny and awesome poster but he dropped down from top tier since he's been less active these two years
Haunted - I miss your Day9 avatar bro; you're still amazing though
Q8D3vil - You dropped down from high tier man; you really need to stop that LoL-crap and come back to the real #esportsgame
Dennis - What the heck would a PC-thread be without this guy? People need to give this guy more credit.
Profit - You're the Ryu of GAF. Always a good poster, no matter the circumstances
Sliver - Top tier contributer to discussions - low tier absence, unfortunately

BeeDog - Been enjoying his posts in the PS3 games-threads since late 2000 - but since I don't go inside those threads as much as I used to; I've missed a lot of your activities
BruceLeeRoy - I haven't seem him post lately but damn it, I love his magic when it comes to making avatars and whatnot
GraveRobberX - We never talk nowadays but I sure as hell see him in trophy-related threads! I love his contribution to the community
TheExodu5 - Also a great poster, but it's been way too long
Gromph - Extremely underrated! I like the way he posts and he's one of the happiest and kindest poster on GAF
Dahbomb - I never, ever see him post outside of DMC and Diablo 3-threads but that's fine! I love his in-depth stuff in those threads
Oracrest - Another person I haven't talked to in a while, but damn it if he's not one of my favorite Demon's Souls player out there. Competitive in its best form
NinjaBoiX - So much fun, always in my kind of threads!
The_Monk - Everyone knows this guy. The kindest (fellow) GAFer. THE KINDEST.
Aylinato - His protoss avatar makes him a one of a kind! Great poster!
Tashi - Fuck HaloGAF man, come back to SC2GAF! We're good guys, I promise!

edit: I do in particularly miss mescalineeyes (GAF-RIP), Himuro (GAF-RIP), and Red Scarlet (GAF-RIP) :(

Only very few would I say I know their personality, but I definitely recognize names and avatars quite often.
 
I recognize the more frequent posters in the OT threads I like to read: Fitness, Figure Skating, LGBT. Piano

I also remember many other from randomly reading them through the years.

those who share their pics and show themselves are a lot easier to remember than generic profiles.
 
I recognise EviLore by face, because it's EviLore, and usually think "Tyler" instead of EviLore because of Twitter. Other than that, I recognise a few other names. Devolution, mostly because of that podcast she's in that I listened to one time (it was the one around the time of the dicks discussion). Yoshi and Wario too. Probably not just because they're Nintendo characters. A few others I recognise as having interacted with before in threads, but only at the time of posting.
 
Every time I spoke to EviLore, I called him by "Evil". It wasn't until after the drugs wore off that I realized what I had done. But it was already too late at that point... he had already drop-kicked a baby stroller on the metro-train.

:3 Sorry I wasn't there during this years' summer sale! I had literally zero free time during the event :( I'll make sure to be there when the next event is due!
 
It's great to know that when you start to notice your reputation is going south you can just change avatar and start again with a clean slate.

I admit I'm guilty of recognising most by their avatars, much like I'm better with people's faces than names in the world outside the Internet. I know a lot of the names of those I regularly post with though, like Brit and AnimeGAF.
 
A bunch of people from Pony-, Realpic-, GW2-, some other group- and general gaming-GAF, but sadly not a huge lot :/ The relatively frequent avatar changes don't help with that, but I do remember guys or girls whose opinion I shared or really, really didn't share from various random threads.

Still, there are so many freaking people on GAF, I can't believe anyone can successfully recognize more than a bunch of very regular posters.
If you can, that's incredible and I'm envious.


You won't remember me or this post in T-1 hour. I'm not exciting.

For the most part, yes.
I don't think many people would recognize me, though. I'm not a very big poster, outside of the Jazz-Hop thread.
 
Yes, I tend to recognize many posters. Not just the more profilic ones, but usually the ones I've had a discussion with at any point. That's actually quite easy as I don't post that much and thus those interactions are rare.
