Keys. I don't know what to think. I hope that was Gamefreak deciding to troll the everloving shit out of people who hate on Pokemon based on inanimate objects.

wut is this? Not a big fan, but not horrible.

Let it be known before I make this point that I like Rotom's concept, I love Electrode's smug personality AND had both Garbodor and Vaniluxe on my team during two separate playthroughs. So I'm not opposed to objectified Pokémon.

But then I see that a kelptomaniac ghost that's also a set of keys is a Pokémon and I'm wondering if GameFreak's even trying anymore.

I'm not hating on the Pokémon itself, it's just that GF has to be aware by now of common complaints that lapsed players have about "non-natural" Pokémon. So in a game that's designed to appeal to them, you'd think they'd do something to quiet said complaints.

I'm counting on Nintendo to have you connect to the internet to get to the sixth gym. Which means people can't go past it because it would reveal who they are.

I just hope this didn't hurt the sales too much.

This just makes hype go through the roof and people pre-order. I'm sure several people in here have pre-ordered who haven't before.

Bah I'm torn.

I love the idea of a kleptomaniac pokemon that inconveniences humans like crazy.

I like that the creature's body itself is pretty streamlined and simple.

The keys actually attached to it don't look good though.

Dude, like 99 percent of the other Pokemon revealed so far are animals. These keys are the exception, not the rule. Furthermore, Klefki looks adorable and unlike any other Pokemon. It also makes perfect sense, a fairy that steals trinkets, in this case keys. And its body is even shaped like a lock. It may also be Steel/Fairy, which would be great.

Or maybe they just go "Fuck them, we've been non-natural since day 1".

Say what you will about the design, but a kleptomaniac ghost that's also a set of keys definitely isn't a Pokemon that is the result of not trying.

...trolling, maybe...

Point them to Rotom.

Have you even seen this shit?

fucker is household appliances.

lmao

People actually think that inanimate-based Pokémon don't have fans and Game Freak should stop making them because of that.

Geez, need to catch up with everything. Alright, Light Ray is Grass/Electric then:

Grass
SE vs Ground, Rock, Water,
NVE vs. Bug, Dragon, Fire, Flying, Grass, Poison, Steel

Electric
SE vs. Water, Flying
NVE vs. Dragon, Electric, Grass
NE vs. Ground

Grass/Electric:
x4: Water
x2: Rock
x0.5: Electric, Bug, Fire, Flying, Poison, Seel
x0.25: Dragon, Grass
x0: Ground

It's built to evaporate water o_O

Wouldn't Grass/Electric hit Flying for normal damage?

Seems like it's a move designed to rebalance water types, which have amongst the best typing. Especially pure Water types.

Klefki is about the lewdest design from Game Freak yet. I shudder to think of the fanart that will be popping up in the coming days.
