Is it confirmed that dual typed attacks work additively?

Someone had their Hawlucha employ Flying Press against a pure-Rock Nosepass and it did Normal damage. So that appears to be the case.
STAB Flying would be not very effective against Rock. STAB Fighting would be Super-Effective against Rock. So they cancel each other out and split the difference.

Probably. Gen 2 had the issue of introducing two types and having almost none of either, and it took ages to get the two of them up to par.

Flying is 1/2 on rock, multiplying it with 2x fighting on rock would cause normal damage as well.

Dude, like 99 percent of the other Pokemon revealed so far are animals. These keys are the exception, not the rule. Furthermore, Klefki looks adorable and unlike any other Pokemon. It also makes perfect sense, a fairy that steals trinkets, in this case keys. And its body is even shaped like a lock. It may also be Steel/Fairy, which would be great.

As I said, I'm not hating on it. The pokedex entry most likely makes it badass, plus there's a bit of parallels with real-world lore with fairy locks. I'm just saying that they're giving more ammo to genwunners. (Of which I am not. Started with R/B and am still anticipating the release of this game.)

Or maybe they just go "Fuck them, we've been non-natural since day 1".

If they actually came out and said that, exactly as you wrote it, I'd gain a slight tinge more of respect for GF.

Say what you will about the design, but a kleptomaniac ghost that's also a set of keys definitely isn't a Pokemon that is the result of not trying.

Nope, that's not it. He's in the mountain dex, we don't know what it looks like yet so he'll probably have another evo. Someone put him in the coastal dex earlier, that's why people think thats his only evo.
