To be honest I'm okay with that. This gen's final forms have been... odd.

Maybe next time GF can make first and middle stage Pokemon get fan artists to finish it off. Seems like you'd waste less potential that way

He gains that shell looking thing on his back in the second stage that seems like it would probably have a role in his third evolution. Otherwise it just makes him look like a snail or slug or something which is still fine and kind of makes sense, aside from the fact that he's supposed t be a dragon.
