That's because Pokémon: The Origins only exist to market Mega Charizard X and appeal to the old fan base to the new games.
There has to be more Pokémon hiding post game, I refuse to believe that Game Freak made a low number to Kalos Pokémon and thought that Mega would bump up the numbers.
Oh, its a good nostalgia trip. It does what it sets out to do very well. At least for that. The marketing of Kalos region and Mega Charizard X feels really out of place though. I don't mind it. I actually liked the idea going into the specials, but I don't think it was done very well.
It worked better when I and some others were watching it live here on GAF and Charizard X hasn't been confirmed yet. My mind was blown the moment he appeared on screen.
It was a REALLY cool way to reveal it.

Well, I had suspected as much would happen (not the new Mega Evolution, but a mega evolution) for a while since someone pointed out the scene from the trailer looking like it. Though I did know the details before watching it because of the good ol' internet and waiting for subtitles, lol.
So, I could see how knowing about it would make it noticing the weird, almost contradicting statements about Kalos and the known Pokemon be more easy. You have a point. The scene itself was epic, but that bit was just jarring.

It's a pokemon you teach all of the HMs so you don't have to teach them to your actual team.
So you just carry around this pokemon that's only use is to use cut, rock smash, surf, etc.

It battle HM's mostly suck (surf and waterfall are kinda good) so ideally you have one pokemon that you just keep around to use HMs.

That art is really, really cool, but it also irons in my distaste for the design. It feels much more like a character than a Pokemon.
To be honest, if people left after gen 1, and this movie brings them back, they're most likely going to be pissed with the new poke offerings.
Almost everyone I know who left after gen one think anything after gen 1 or maybe 2 looks like uninspired garbage. Thats a bit extreme even for me.
The only problem is that fanart can make anything awesome. Too bad Delphox looks nothing like this and will be the least favorite starter of this generation much like Emboar was for the last generation.

I very much want to know this as well. Reusable TMs were one of my favorite parts of the fifth generation.

Don't be so quick to dismiss Delphox; we don't even know its stats for sure yet
(although according to /vp/, it's best suited towards being a Special Sweeper. It also apparently has great Speed).

From what I can remember it's best stats are: Sp Atk, Sp Def, Speed in that order although they were very close together. There's a stat screen of it somewhere in the thread but I can't find it.
