Wouldn't it be 67 going by Dex number?
68 so far. Starts with number 650 not 651

Well, I guess it's because Gen V has two trios.I'll be pretty stunned if there's no trio in this game. That's a sacred thing you don't mess with. A SACRED THING.
StreetsAhead am cry. Wasn't he the one who kept doubting the 70 rumour?
Seriously, do people actually prefer pre-evolutions and baby pokemon to Mega evos? As I recall a huge number of Gen II pokemon were that, and nobody ever uses them.Seems like Megas completely pushed out the "real" evolutions of old pokemon. I guess it makes sense. There's only really a few older pokemon that feel like they need another evolution, and most of those are getting megas.
Aegislash sounds pretty damn awesome.

Baby Pokemon suck. Pre-evolutions work if they're cool/appropriate like Munchlax.Seriously, do people actually prefer pre-evolutions and baby pokemon to Mega eves? As I recall a huge number of Gen II pokemon were that, and nobody ever uses them.

And apparentlyit's Dragon/Ground. If that's true, anyone who was hoping for the first Poison Legendary...your last hope is the Event Legendaries and who knows when we'll get those.
What's everyone's problem with Mega Gardevoir?
G1 - 151
G2 - 100
G3 - 134 (IIRC)
G4 - 107
G5 - 156
G6 - 70
Yeah, smallest generation by far.
Nope, it's the first time a an Eevee has been introduced alone.

Probably a retyping of an old pokemon. What about the Ground/Fairy mentioned by Kotaku? That hasn't been seen yet right?

Clothes, hats, bags, facial hair, makeup, skin tone, hair etc etc. Pretty good by the looks of it.
Yeah, I mean to me they seem far more useful than baby and pre-evolution pokemon, even if they are temporary.Given mega evos are limited and not permanent, a lot of people don't consider them "real" pokemon.
Seems a bit disingenuous to me to not count them in the new pokemon count. They are completely new models and some of them dramatically alter the way the pokemon can be played. They are significant. I get why you wouldn't count them, but it doesn't seem completely fair.

Hey, Darkrai, Arceus, and Giratina were amazing.
So we have our Battle Maison, we have what is apparently the most robust and accessible online system in a Pokemon game to date... what more post-game do we need to make it acceptable?
We could explain away a lot of things with such a statement .Let's be honest, legendaries after Gen III started sucking.
Introducing a God Pokémon was the dumbest idea Game Freak has ever had. And that's including crap like Muk.Hey, Darkrai, Arceus, and Giratina were amazing.
lol is it really called Battle Maison?
My only problem with the fewer number of Pokemons is that the old ones will overshadow them. I'm in a new region, I want to see more of the new ones and less of the old ones, leave post-game for that. But then again, I'm actually fine with the number, not really a big dealbreaker or problem for me tbh.
Pretty bad tradeoff too, most are just busier versions of their pre-evo.They were so busy making those stupid mega evos they forgot to add more new pokemon :/
Very true. X and Y is a return to form though.Let's be honest, legendaries after Gen III started sucking.
I don't mind 70 pokemon. Look we're already at a monstrous 717 total pokemon. It's at the point where it's gotten unruly and they're going to have to trim down the number of new ones per gen before it gets out of control. Mega evolutions are a pretty good way of offsetting the lowered amount actually.

Probably not, it's French for house. The game is French themed so.I'm sure it was a typo.

Sinnoh without evolves and legends only had 79 Pokemon![]()

Main pokemon and events seem to get a lot more of the best designs. If you look at the recent trios and other "extra" legendaries, they all feel so tacked on and boring.
