About Shadow Tag:

Similarly, as of Generation IV, if two Pokémon with Shadow Tag face one another, both may switch out at any time. Baton Pass, U-turn, and Volt Switch also allow the opponent to switch.
The held item Shed Shell allows a Pokémon to switch out when facing a Pokémon with Shadow Tag.

So are the vivillons wings based on the area/season they're caught in, or are they like Deerling and change with the season/area?

Mega Gengar with Shadow Tag is really strong. It's basically a free kill at least once in a battle if you use it right.

The auto-weather cap was a long time coming,

Couldn't they just switch out?
Gengar still needs to activate the Mega Stone to get Shadow Tag.

Let's say opponent wants to switch in a choice scarfer to check Gengar. Gengar uses Substitute in the meantime. Scarfer uses a move, any move to break the sub. Gengar's sub breaks. Gengar mega transforms uses Disable! Choice user struggles! Choice user can't switch out!

Edit: Drasna why do you look like Joanna!

Since megaevolving doesn't waste a turn, Gengar comes in, mega evolves, has shadow tag now, opponent can't run lol.

Edit: may have read that wrong....

That sounds really strategic.
Let's hope Disable's accuracy has improved!

At least that's good. That means its ghost moves won't be useless to the some of the once normal type pokemon.

Wonder how Ghost moves will affect Normal/Fairy Pokemon (like Wigglytuff)? Will Ghost moves be useless, like how Psychic type moves are with any Dark type, no matter what the Dark type Pokemon might have for its second type?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and call Azumarill and Gengar as OU. They've both been buffed way too much to NOT be (not even including Mega Gengar).

They'll be immune.

Gardevoir can learn Hyper Voice via move tutor.

With Gardevoir likely getting the 80 and 95 BP Fairy-type attacks we've seen, I don't see what a Fairy-type Hyper Voice does for her at all.

Gengar is already OU and Poison being buffed offensively only helps him. We'll see what happens with his mega form. Hopefully they just ban the item and not the pokemon if it ends up too powerful.

Auto weather nerf is the biggest improvement so far. Thank goodness. Steel type weakening is cool too, though I feel bad for Metagross and Jirachi. That's fine though, they now resist fairy which seems pretty prominent.

And Gengar with great stat improvements and shadow tag? Excellent. This gen in going to be interesting. Looks like it will revolve a lot around taking out the opposing Mega and supporting your own. Wonder if trick/knock off etc can unmega after they've powered up...
