Ok what's the deal with tipping? Does some guy appear saying "hey you tipped a lot here's an item" or is GF just trolling us into losing money?

The fact 3DS encryption is like CIA encryption levels is both good and bad.

Good with the fact we won't have hacks, nobody will figure the RNG algorithm and we won't have Mythicals spoiled.

Bad with the fact that it's a pain in the arse for me to compile things. Trying to calculate the base stats and it isn't easy to get it perfect, and that's what I want...perfection
 
So was looking at GTS and saw someone was asking for a Kyogre for a Pancham. Have I missed something or is there a way to view pokemon you haven't seen in game at the GTS?

Under the Z you can type whichever name you want.

You can turn off people requesting for legendaries in the options section of the GTS. It is a godsend. I also like how it's not just five random people, they actually give you a ton of listings.

To be honest, I was thinking about the game being locked tight and thought "Damn, Serebii/Bulbapedia are fucked"

OH GOD, is this true?
I remember looking for random stuff like Misdreavus and everyone asked for shit like a level 5 Zekrom.

It's true. On GTS, click on options and say don't search for people asking for "special Pokemon." You have to do this each search though.

We will have plenty of perfect Legit hacks from the older gens once the bank is open.

Not having hacks is also arguably bad, since we can't just generate rare items

Also good luck figuring out the encounter rates man :\

I think I know the one you mean. Is it where there is light coming down from above as if there was meant to be something cool there. I was randomly clicking everywhere in case there was a hidden item lol

Yeah. I've heard that it might be the way to switch between the genie forms instead of the Reveal Glass. A scientist mentions the Reveal Glass in the cave so it makes sense.
 
The biggest con about my Arcanine is its type. I also have Charizard and Tyranitar. Easy won for opponents with water pokemon. Luckily, I have Raichu.

I should really get a grass pokemon or something. I'd need to swap Charizard probably because I like Arcanine and Tyranitar more, but Charizard is my mega evo... :P
 
I live in the DC area and got a modern patter Vivillon. My guess is that you get the pattern that GF best described your real physical area, but it's more specific than just the country in most cases. They may just use the location data stored on the 3DS, the same info that Mii Plaza pulls from. I could be wrong; this is just my slightly educated guess.

Does anybody know if Aegislash continues to learn moves (at the same pace as Doublade or not) after you evolve him? Or is it like Arcanine and doesn't learn anything anymore after you evolve him?

I have a level 35 Doublade and a Dusk Stone so I'd like to evolve him to Aegislash as soon as possible.

Doesn't feel right not using its signature move.. >_>

It learns Smack Down and can learn Night Slash from the Move Reminder. I'll post more if I remember them.
 
Man, my Ralts is Jolly. Probably not the best nature for it but I'm not sure I feel like retraining. :<

Also, what's a good HM Slave?

The capture device was pricey, yeah. However, that's irrelevant when it's for the good of the site I have been doing almost 14 years.

Na, not making money. Any extra funds beyond server costs go back into a fund for in case we accidentally lose a server or need a backup fast.

I would never say not having hacks is bad. Ends don't justify the means
 
Is there a specific in-game time that allows you to find some of the mega stones? Because I was not able to find the mega stones for Alakazam and Gyarados.

Here it shows clearly his stats before and after, and how the process of Mega Evolution works. Can someone calculate the boost for me? I don't know how.

Banette - Mega Banette Lv48
Frisk - Pranskey
HP 129 - 129
ATK 106 - 149
DEF 67 - 77
S.ATK 93- 102
S.DEF 81- 102
SPD 81 - 91

Every single stat gets a minor boost, nothing amazing really. But hard data may show a different picture.
 
Once you beat your Rival in the final town you are invited by the professor somewhere and he upgrades your Power Ring so that it responds to Stones in the field.
 
Can't get my Sliggoo to evolve into Goodra. I guess it's the pokemon that evolves when it's raining? Rain Dance doesn't seem to qualify though. Do I need to look for environmental rain, and if so, what route does that happen on?
 
When do you get the Mountain Dex? And when does Goomy show up in the wild? I really want a Goomy badly. I'm currently in the Rock type gym now and received the Coastal dex only a bit ago, so I'm assuming it's quite a ways away.

Goomy shows up on Route 14. You're a few gyms off being able to find it.
