What the hell, Nash looks younger. Regardless, its looking pretty bad and Im not sure why EA wasted the time and money on this.

See the textures are not even the issue, they even got some good likeness of players like Melo, but the animation makes it look like aliens defeated the Xcom soldiers, overtook the planet and morphed into these weird lanky, odd looking humans, and that is the result.
Why does Nash look like a 21 year old Backstreet Boys member?

Not single animation looked right.

The ball itself is the only thing that is acceptable.
 
All the delays for this shit? What a disaster.

Glad that Andrew Wilson is EA's new CEO. Maybe they can bring in somebody to fix his mess.

Indeed, its really creepy and like you said unnatural.

They (EA, i dont know if its the same team) got the fighters in Fight Night games to move pretty well, they did not have these jerky movements and odd limbs bending and other weirdness
 
That looks awful.

Did EA really think it would look cool in the trailer to have a random dribbling exhibition? This isn't 1997, NBA sims have allowed the ability to do dribbling moves for years.
 
I love how they call it official gameplay trailer. Where the fuck are the angles we will play the game at? Animation looks OK at some points; otherwise....

I watched it again, and I think the ball itself is fine, but the way the player hands react to it is... yeah. Not good.

What you mean? It's all gameplay using different camera angles which you can access with the replay camera in-game. If they wee going to use the the broadcast/gameplay camera , you wouldnt be able to see shit. For 2k they save vids and trailers with broadcast camera for How-to-play vids and just short clips of people actually playing the game a week or two before the game is out.
