okay so i dont really understand IV/EVs fully. why should i care about them?

It's basically eugenics for competitive play. Making the best Pokemon possible. No need to get into that if you just plan on playing alone or casual battles with friends

Use a Dwebble, get it to learn SR by level up and have that and Ferroseed mate.

dunno about Graveler. Maybe you gotta chain breed to use it?

Says you can use him, he already has SR via Victory Road.

Ah, nevermind. The guy says they hate eachother but that doesn't stop them from having angry and fulfilling sex.

The Dittos in friend Safari, is it the Hidden Ability we are after or the fact that they have two 31 IVs? I'm guessing it's the latter, right?

What kind of moveset have you guys got running on your Tyrantrums? I'm finding that I don't really need him for anything except the occasional Electric type. Shame since I really like his design (Tyrunt anyway)

So guys, split my EV training for clawitzer between DEF and SP. DEF and max out SP. ATK, or max out both HP and SP ATK?

The latter. Got lucky and found one with atk, def, speed
Ah cool, so I guess the breeding would be:
Breed with correct natured Ditto with ever stone.
Breed correct natured Pokemon with FS Ditto holding destiny knot (with correct IVs).

Is that right?

"THEY DON'T SEEM TO LIKE EACHOTHER VERY MUCH"
*30 Seconds later*
"Oh my, an egg!"

You should only worry about "Prefer to play with other Pokemon" - they'll never have sex with each other with this one.

Any other phrase will result in an egg but with different rates. Your phrase is the slowest.

I'm asking because I don't know: if Cresselia had gotten retyped, would it be possible we still didn't know by now?

I'm assuming we know nothing about it b/c bank isn't up yet.

IV's are on a per-stat basis, set when you first encounter a pokemon. They give each stat a boost of 0-31 points.

EVs are gained by supertraining and by fighting battles (each pokemon you cause to faint gives a set amount of EVs in a particular stat to all pokemon that earned EXP against it). You can add up to 63 points to an individual stat this way (Up to 127 points across all stats).

IVs and nature are why you can catch two pokemon from the same pokemon species and they'll have different stats.

EVs are why trained pokemon tend to be stronger than wild pokemon (even at the same level)

Yup, we don't know anything about Cresselia's type or any of the other candidates for a type change like the Sinnoh Pixies and Cresselia isn't found in Friend Safari nor any in-game events (that we know of currently).

Yeah, that sounds good.
Thanks, might get a load of each nature and see how the IVs fare. Only need a few combinations, all five being 31 is nice, but I guess not really needed?

At/Spd and SpAt/Spd are all I'd really want I guess the others aren't quite as vital.

I've been trying to assemble a bug team but so far I've not got much. Not even past the first gym.

Just beat the 3rd gym earlier, my Beedrill is slaughtering.
Especially when you have a good stretch of fighting and psychic Pokemon to fight around the caves at that point.

I'm not sure at all of what can be caught. Good to know I can get a Beedrill.

Guys, if you've finished the game, go back to the house of the guy in Anistar Town who asks you for a Pokemon to keep him company.

OOOOOMG. :(

I'm just going to leave this here.

(From pixiv. Sorry, I didn't note down the author's name.)

Goomy type confirmed

how do you even check what IVs a pokemon has?

There is a judge in a post-game area that will give you a general idea, as well as specify the highest stats a Pokemon has. If they're 31s, he'll say something like "they couldn't be better." You can also enter a battle that autolevels you to 50 and use a calculator. Most calculators are perfectly fine for the older Pokemon, and Metalkid's has the new ones, albeit with base stat estimates only.

I caught a caterpie from the very first forest you run into (no luck with a Pikachu though :/ ) and just held onto him from there.

Survivability for him's pretty hit or miss early on, but his speed and poison moves are awesome.

Waiting for the pros to laugh at me and recommend better poke's, but I'm just glad I finally decided to main him
