Yeah I love mine. She has a fairy, bug, flying and psychic move so she can battle a great variety of other Pokémon. Too bad it's not my favourite pattern though, if my OCD kicks in I might train one from Norway if I can get my hands on one in my X copy

Same here, I now try not to spend too much time hunting for new pokemon to catch so I don't overlevel too much, but I'm really surprised by how many things separate the first and second gym.

I thought about using the reset bag on some of my story pkmn. But if you've already leveled under bad EV influence for quite a bit, wouldn't a reset be redundant anyway? Unless the system re-arranges all stats after the next level up

Mega Evolution is awesome, but what does it actually do?

I mean, I assume it raises stats or something, but is there any reason to not want to mega evolve at the beginning of battles?

In order to Mega Evolve, you need to give up your item slot to hold the stone. So in some cases, the stat changes might not be worth the lose of an item if it compliments your Pokemon's moveset.

I haven't seen the Megas' base stats, but for example doesn't Garchomp have to trade some speed in to get higher offenses when it Mega Evolves?
