Post game spoiler: Seriously, everytime I
go to the route to chase Articuno, it leaves to another route. I've played 20 hours of postgame and I've encountered it twice - both times by sheer luck. Is there a trick I'm missing? How can I chase it?

Seriously, I hate roamers.

I did most of the stuff there but it won't get full style. I spent some time just mashing A to take Gogoat shuttles for one stop back and forth until the MEvo stones were fully discounted and I could get hatching power. Costs $200 versus using discounted cabs.

So how does super training work? I know it increases base stats, but what are base stats all about? Do I really need to play this stupid soccer shooter all the time?

I know jack shit about Pokemon, by the way.

Got a shiny roselia while I lost control of the bike and ran into some random grass lol.
Willing to trade it.(Gentle nature)

Theory: Could there be a bonus chance of a Safari pokemon being a shiny the first time you encounter it?

The first shiny I got there was a Pumpkaboo I found while trying to find the last Pokemon that spawns in it (that being it). The second was a Dusclops I found while looking for a shiny Phantump or Lampent, although I can't remember if it was the first time I saw it it -is- the Elite 4 unlock for that person so it's possible/likely.

I finally bred my competitive Ambipom! Jolly nature, perfect IVs ins everything except Sp. Attack (which isn't used in the slightest), egg moves of both Fake Out and Beat Up, and his ability lined up to be Technician without the use of Ability Capsule. Excellent! All that leaves now is for me to muster through EV training. For some reason, it's not going as fast for me as other people are saying.

What that means, though, is that I'm finally gonna do my Aipom giveaway. I have half a box full of Aipoms (about 15) that share the following attributes:

Nature: Jolly
Ability: Run Away (Technician upon evolution) EDIT: Some actually have Pick Up... Use ability capsule!
Perfect IVs: Speed and two others that vary--most have "outstanding" potential
Egg Moves: Fake Out and Beat Up

Just quote me and list your friend code. I'll give them away in order of responses in this thread only (please don't send PMs). All I ask is you try to leave me on your friend's list so I can take advantage of your Safari (mine isn't the best--only Pinsir is of any worth). My friend code is: 4398-9604-6699.

Beat Up Ambipom is something that I came up with myself in competitive play. The whole aim was to exploit Ambipom's annoying speed and flinch rate. Fake Out already gives priority and a guaranteed flinch, but if you pair that with Beat Up whilst holding King's Rock, you have a 50-60% chance of flinching again and again and again. I shit you not, I have taken down ENTIRE competitive teams with just my Ambipom. And so, so many ragequits... Flinch after flinch after flinch can be goddamn annoying. Beat Up being dark type counters Ghost-switch ins upon Fake Out, and it will kill all Ghosts that aren't Dusknoire or what have you. (Watch out for Gengar from now on, though, since in his Mega form, he'll be faster than Ambipom... Didn't used to be that way...)

Steel-types no longer resist Dark, which means Ambipom can use this flinch bitch technique against common Steel switch-ins as well. Also consider placing U-turn in his fourth slot, and call the shots on entries. But keep in mind that if you're up against an opponent that is faster than you, switch IMMEDIATELY (no U-turn), because Ambipom is a frail mo'fo and cannot afford to take most STAB hits. If you want to mimic my Ambipom build, here's the EV, move, and item build:

Item: King's Rock (or Razor Fang works)
EVs: Max Speed, Max Attack, Remainder HP
Moves: Fake Out
Double Hit / Low Kick (Fake Out and Low Kick in succession will always kill Tyranitar...lol. For now I'm stuck with Double Hit cause there is no tutor in-game to teach me the latter yet.)
Beat Up
U-turn

Anyway, let me know starting now, and I'll send you an Aipom!

I'm like 4 hours in and I'm in love with this game.

One question though, Charizard or Pyroar? I'm leaning towards Charizard because of nostalgia, but are Pyroar's stats better?

Neato. Saves me the time of getting Aipom/Ambipom again and then breeding. :P

Add me? 0688-5275-6848

I also have Steel with Mawile, Metang, and Excadrill for Friend Safari. Won't be able to log on until tomorrow though. :v

Ingame name is Andy.
Edit: sorry I was at the IV judge
Edit2: I touched yes and it took me to my party for IV judge :|

Just beaten the sixth gym, 18 hours on the clock. My Alakazam also knows a strong fairy move now, lethal danger against dragons :D

I took my sweet time because of mechanical testing stuff plus real life, but I finally beat the Elite 4!

I wanted to do something different, and since I got a good Xerneas (its Timid with the IVs of 31 HP / 15 Atk / 31 Def / 31 SpA / 29 SpD / 31 Spe. sorry, had to brag a little there), I decided to see if it could solo the elite 4. Geomancy + Full Restores pretty much owned them =)

One last question for today: I really want to evolve my Growlithe; can I do so, and then go to the move relearner and make Arcanine learn all the moves it didn't learn before it evolved, such as Outrage or Crunch or Heat Wave? Or am I better off waiting until I have those to use my fire stone?

I'd like one. Heracross and Aipom have always been my favourite Pokémons :D

I can't trade this very moment though, but that's okay I hope since you have a bunch of trades to do anyways?

Those tags are just for languages, not regions, I think. Wouldn't know if the Masuda method works with regions or languages though.

Playing the JPN version in english, I went for a non English non Japanese region Pokemon, that way whichever it is will work. A SPA one in particular.

Is there any way anyone can figure this out? I'd really like to know since I'm in a similar situation.

Anyway, let me know starting now, and I'll send you an Aipom!
Jesus, that sounds evil, dude! I'd love to have one if you don't mind. Quote this post for my FC.

Masuda method went by languages last gen (So a Canadian ENG Pokemon with a US ENG Pokemon would not let it work).

No idea how it is this gen.

Hmm, atm I am looking for a Ditto(non-english) with high IVs.I am open to offers.

What nature is the shiny Loudred

Impish (+Def, - SpAtk)

According to the judge has good Atk and SpAtk IVs but poor speed. (Was from Friend Safari)

I went through most of the game with the first four and two HM slaves, so Chesnaught was underleveled (well, compared to the rest of the team) and the Iceburg dude was just kind of there. I didn't use it for anything.

Pretty much Pangoro'd my way through the second half of the game because Pangoro is awesome.

I wanted to use all new Pokemon but I used Venusaur because he's one of my favourites and he has a Mega evolution so that's new enough for me.

Also it sounds like they're working on a fix for the Lumiose save data bug, which I'm sure has been posted already but I missed it.

I'm too high level. The EXP share has ruined me as I try to catch new pokemon.

I''m in the process of building a second team.

...Anyone have a female Fennekin they wanna give me? :3

Does anyone have any tips for finding a rainy route to evolve my Goodra? I've been wandering around and I'm not sure how the rain works. I know it rains in route 14 but I've been periodically checking it for the past couple hours to find no rain.

So in one Soft Reset for Zygarde I exhausted almost every poke ball in my inventory except for about 15 quick balls. Caught it with a nest ball.
Quiet Nature. RESET
