What's everyone's opinion of Litleo / The awesome lion thing he evolves into?

Litleo's currently part of my team but he feels weak compared to the rest.. will the awesome Lion make leveling up Litleo worth it?
Not sure whether to swap out Litleo (currently level 22) or wait it out.

Heartbroken! The game director still asks me to show him as I fill up my Pokedex, but I've (seen) every Pokemon in Kalos. Do I need to catch them all too, or is he the National Dex npc?
Edit: Professor gives me Oval Charm. Wonder if Shiny Charm is in it for the National Dex.

After using the IV calculator it turn out my modest Xerneas had bad/terrible defensive and Sp.attack IVs, ironically its attack, speed and Sp.defense stats were perfect, the ones I was willing to ave low. Back to recapturing it...

His special attack and speed become pretty good after he evolves, and his defensive stats are good enough to handle a couple of hits before fainting. Not an amazing pokemon but it gets the job done. If you like him take him with you on your quest, thanks to EXP. share you won't feel like you wasted time training him if you end up not liking him.

Is there a list of Cafes anywhere? The non Lumiose kind, I figure that's how you'll complete the national dex with any uncatchable Pokemon.

After only a few hours of SR'ing Shiny Charmander get! This X version first playthrough is going to be very memorable with both a Shiny Kalos (Froakie) and Kanto starter!
(too bad I killed a Shiny Litleo I found yesterday which sours it slightly, damn you Shiny Froakie and your critical hit! </3)
Hopefully
you're next Shiny Tyrunt cos I love me some blue shinies.

Biggest disappointment for me: No Mega
Farfetch'd
.

Or Mega
Dunsparce
, for that matter. :(

Rest of the game is pure awesome, Pokemon hasn't felt this good since Gold/Silver!

I'm gonna spread Adamant Pinsir over to Wonder Trade, then when I got myself a Modest Bug Pokemon, I'll spread some Larvesta love.

What is Skarmory supposed to do?

I've got one with perfect Def. IV's and EV trained it in Def. and HP. I mean, it can take a lot of hits but what else is it good for? I put a few layers of spikes down and they did barely any damage. He seems like a waste of a team slot.

I guess he's not suited for 3v3 battles, but still.

I really wish they focused more on the pokemon that needed it than the pokemon that are popular. I mean
giving mega-evolutions to the two most popular of the original 4 trade evolving pokemon is pretty unfair, especially for Golem.

Lay down spikes and Whirlwind/Roost your way to victory.

Ugh, I am so indecisive on my sixth team member... I need something to handle fire types.

Same here on a 6th.

I have:

Quilladin
Wartortle
Honedge
Kirila
Combusken

Right now I'm lugging along a Pikachu but I have no idea if I'm going to keep it or not. I feel like I have quite a few bulky/defensive pokemon so I may pick out another that is pure offense with a good type covering movepool.

Alright cheers man, I'll keep the little bastard for now but likely swap him out later.

Oh and yeah EXP share is the bomb! It takes so much of the grind out yet doesn't at all make it feel as if it's cheating or cheap.
I've been carrying round this Pikachu since it was lvl 4 or something, it's now lvl 20 and it hasn't fought once.

That thing exists to annoy opponent teams by laying spikes, hazing them with whirlwind and generally waste their PP using roost to recover damage. You won't kill many opponents with it, but that's not the point of having Skarmory around.

Certainly not suited for 3v3, Skarms role is primarily walling physical threats and setting up entry hazards, after you've got spikes plus stealth rocks up just shuffling their team around with whirlwind and making them eat hazards on entry can be brutal if his threats are gone.

Ah, Whirlwind. That's what I forgot. But I thought it was a TM. It's an egg move. ;_;

So I just wasted my time grinding this thing to lv. 50? And all that Super Training... That'll teach me to do my homework.

I'm not about it not being cheap, but it's really useful especially early in the game where you have a lot of options regarding pokemon and you don't know who to pick for your party.

Seems like I'm gonna have to grind a bit for the Elite Four. All my Pokemon are level 55 and i got whipped in the first battle :/

For some reason I'm reminded of a hilarious personal occurrence of Skarmory being a late-game sweeper with Brave Bird+Roost in 4th Gen.

How did you manage to get to the E4 with levels like that? I mean I didn't spend any extra time grinding anything and all my Pokemon were level 67-69 by the time I got to them.

I wouldn't disagree that it's useful, especially early on so you don't completely on your starter and keeping things interesting. I turned it off around level 50 or so when I was satisfied with my team and I've had a pretty enjoyable difficulty since. Roughly on par with trainers with 1-2 Pokemon.

About to get my seventh badge. Pokedexes are at 137, 113, and 57! Dragalge is awesome.

Also, for anyone that doesn't really pay attention to anything more than type-advantage, my friend and I have just about finished this tool that will evaluate your team's weaknesses and advise you on which pokemon to use against certain types of enemies. It only accounts for STAB attacks and ignores abilities like levitate.

27-30 IVs in HP. 31 IVs in everything else but special attack. Good enough for me. Got the silly Belly Drum / Aqua Jet combo passed down. Would have been less painful if I wasn't insistent on making sure the end result inherited the Dive Ball.
