Sorry if it has already been posted before. And sorry if the information is way beyond the actual game
I remember a game, it was 3rd person 3D action/adventure/stealth from the PS1 era. I had it on PC though. It may have been a demo, not sure.
The opening level I think was in a museum and you had to dodge anti-theft laser beams. I vaguely remember a fight with a knight as well in a wooden building however. There may have been some time shenanigans going on.
Any ideas?
This game where you played as a police mech, going around shooting things. This was on macintosh.
Future Cop: LAPD?
Its State of Emergency.Hey guys, my gf was talking to me about a game earlier that she remembers playing either for the xbox or ps2. She says it was kinda like gta, it may or may not have been a sandbox game. She just remembers being in a mall and with cops and beating people up, and the boxart apparently had a star badge on it. It's driving her nuts.
I'm at a loss. She thinks maybe it was all in her imagination, but I thought I'd ask.
I posted here earlier but didn't get any answers. It's driving me crazy... been searching for 2 hours today trying to find it.
Basically, it's a Playstation 1 (war?) strategy game where you had direct control of (only) a single unit at a time from a third person view. From what I remember, you always started a mission controlling a bike until you could create stronger units at a garage somewhere on the map. Here's some stuff that are stuck in my memory about the game;
- There was one mission based in London next to Big Ben.
- On Mission 8, you had to fight some alien-like technology for the first time (never got past this mission).
- There was a part of a mission where you were on the bike in a maze with lazers (random, I know, but for some reason that's one of the parts I remember about the game)
Help me please! Someone hinted Uprising X, but that's not it.

Yes i know it's way late but it took a while to get account approval.
It's actually an early PS2 game called Ephemeral Fantasia. The sword is also a lute and it include some guitarr hero style gameplay long before it became populat. Though it was done with the controler. Also the world is time based.

Just wanted to update that I found the game I was looking for after many years of searching. It was Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds. My mind was blown when I randomly googled the London mission I was describing. (This one)
I mean jesus, the game seems so unknown yet for some reason I picked it up as a kid. Has anyone else played this? Apparently there is also a PC version of this game, which was totally different.
This game is driving me crazy and the worst part is I found it here, in this site, but I cannot find the thread (I think it was about gaming ideas or aspects to improve).
If I remember well, you play as an alien that visit planets in this 2D game. In those planets, you meet others that do not speak your language so you have to guess and learn theirs through symbols in a keyboard. In the video, there was an alien who was talking about starting a war.
The setting was not especially good, the backgrounds were black and blue most of the part (or at least what I watch/remember), but I really liked the idea and I would love to give it a try!
Seems to me Time Gate: Knight's Chase (AKA "The secret of the templar").
An arcade beat em up game where you can use a vampire hunter (who yells power stone), a ciborg and a female ninja against a group of well known horror bosses like frankenstein. the monster, a puppetmaster to finally reach Dracule but I always forget the name of the game.

NES game where you drive a car and have a similar feeling to the classic GTA games. Overhead camera, driving in a city, but it wasn't violent.
Probably could be several games but Who Framed Roger Rabbit? comes to mind first.

Thank you for the try! And I cannot remember the answer to those questions (the description was a bit vague, sorry). I saw a video and put it on my "oneday I will play all of them" mental list.Well there's this:

Otherwise, any idea about platform, release date?
Thank you very much, really, that game was stuck in my head for weeks. And I completely agree with the rest, there is no other game apart from Mass Effect with a good sci fi setting in this generation and this does not develop the language part (they speak English because they are intelligent, next).Yeah, I believe it was one of the game concepts threads, not sure which right now. But the game you're probably looking for is Captain Blood. Really unique experience, intro music by Jean Michel Jarre, developed by ERE Infomratique (later became Cryo Interactive). There's a fansite with a comprehensive list of the Bluddian vocabulary, the language used in the game.
I would love a modern take on this game. Those old space exploration adventures had a real sense of the unknown, of awe and wonder every time you play them.

A few years ago, a really bad first person shooter came out. It had time travel as the main plot element. You shot guys with futuristic weapons in Rome and during the American Civil War etc. They also had a funny weapons trailer ("Shotgun: It's a shotgun!"). Does anyone know the name? Giant Bomb did a QL as well.
Most excellent

Does anyone recall a 2D arcade fighting game from the early 90s that was basically a cross between Street Fighter and Golden Axe? I think it may have been single player. I remember playing as a generic conan-type of character and fighting 1v1 against various mythological/fantasy creatures. Been racking my brain trying to remember what it was called...

The game I don't remember starts in a field and the character is a Skelton knight (or a dead knight or just I knight I don't remember).... It was on sega genesis... One of the levels were an ice cave underground and there was a fire attatcks you after falling out the candles on the wall...... And I think there was some kind of a map that shows you your progress.
Any Idea what the name of this game?
Sounds like it could be Chakan.

My uncle had a collection of PC discs (8 - 12) that were danger yellow with a black thunderbolt across them. The box art looked like a TV series for a space traveling syfy Startrek knock off. The box also had a yellow/black style.
The actual gameplay was... I dunno. I just watched him play ot a few times but I couldn't figure out what was going on. It had fully acted cutscenes in it with a strange 80s style to it.
Red Earth/Warzard?
Is it Generations Lost?Ok I've asked about this one a couple times in this thread before, but haven't ever been able to figure it out.
Genesis game, late era maybe. Platformer. You played as sort of a future/space guy that was like blue (maybe) with gold armor. You had a blue arm laser that could shoot or you could use it to suspend and raise and lower yourself from a platform. The first level was in a forest.
It looked really good, the animations where great, but I think the game was actually shit.
they may have been trying to rip off flash back... because flashback really reminds me of it, but it's definitely not it.

Edit:
I just rememberer that my game start in a night time in a field with halloween pumpkings OR a graveyard

I will try it here...
So, game was a shooter on Amiga. Think of Virtua Cop but with a static screen but still a crossbar so you had to use the mouse to shoot the enemies. Pattern was of course static but thanks to shitty mouses back then it was a hell of a game in terms of difficulty. I think you had two modes of fire but it's almost 20 years ago. Either way the screens changed when all enemies were killed.
I know, not much detail and an old game but perhaps someone knows?
Cabal?
