Pokémon XY |OT2| Would you like to leave a tip?

So I just got the game, and the second Fletchling I ran into was apparently a shiny. I didn't notice until I killed it and saw that the wing tips were yellow. I realized that was different, so I looked it up, and yeah, that's a shiny Fletchling. That's not fair, game, I didn't know what to look for. I haven't played since Gen II and all the shinys then were bright gold...although I never actually encountered one.

So there goes my first shiny. Are they a lot more common in this game, or did I just blow it?
 
So that method someone posted earlier to max out style does work.
Get Bargain Power lvl 3
Use on self
buy 100 or so Premier Balls from Lumiose City (costs 100 each with Bargain Power 3) one at a time (just keep mashing A for a bit)
sell them all back for 100 each

I bought around 90 or so and got my Mega Stone costs form the guy in the stone shop down from 150,000 to 10,000. I had already got enough style to get into the boutique and get new PR effects.

Safari Ditto are necessarily at level 30, and those you can find in Pokemon Village are 48+. Thus, you just have to ask for a Ditto within the 21-30 level range, they will have to offer you a Ditto from the Safari.

Also, I'm afraid my Friend List is full, and the one who is providing me Ditto also has his list full (as you can guess, everyone suddenly wanted to become his friend when it was discovered). So I can't really help you here. Though, some NeoGAF members have Ditto in their safari : just check here (ctrl+F).

Does it not do the sparkly thing and the noise for shinies any more?

Yeah, I was trying to see which one you wanted most. I'd say get Squirtle now for your water. Or get Torchic right now with mystery gift as your fire Pokemon.

I love Wonder Trade. Traded some of my leftover Friend Safari Dragonairs and got a Japanese Ditto and a lvl 1 Adamant Honedge. Score!
 
Got a Clefairy today for a haxorus. My cleffa is EV trained and has perfect IVs in HP and Sp Attk.

Girl is ready to wreck, but is still a baby.

What's the best way to get happiness? Maxed out on Amie, but that ain't it. Got a massage too and a soothe bell on hand.

Also learned her Hidden Power is Steel, so I can wreck against other fairies.

Soothe Bell, then just bike back and forth like you're breeding for ~5-7 minutes and that should do it.

My Pichu evolved when I took it to the Elite Four to level up.
After I finished Super Training it though

they're just markings for storing and identification. Say, you've got a lot of adamant froakie, but want to keep a handful before trading them off to wonder trade, you can mark them with those symbols so you know to not move them.
 
Trying to breed for a shiny Ralts. Results so far: "What the heck am I doing?"

So, I know of the Matsuda Method, and I got a Japanese Ditto off the GTS, so I'm set with that. I have my Gardevior and the Ditto in the Day Care and I'm using a Talonflame to speed up the egg hatching.

Am I doing it right? I've hatched several Ralts, but no shiny yet. It's all just down to luck and random chance, right? No other way of boosting it?

Also, what does a shiny Ralts look like in this game? Blue "hair" like the previous games?
 
So is there any way to check my Style Points?
Pretty sure I did everything on the list, but I maybe I have to do them more or something?

My Lucario was a bit underleveled but they were on average 57. I have a habit of training 10 or more pokemons while going on adventure.
It was already a bad sign in the beginning of Elite Four that one of the trainers had a non fully evolved pokemon in his party.

I am contemplating if I want to spend a night at that expensive hotel or not.

Does anyone know where you can find the Punk style clothes in order to get accepted into that group in some basement?
