relatively superior=121 to 150 total IVs
hell, one of the Mewtwos that I rolled earlier wouldn't have even hit that with 3 perfect IVs, the other 3 were really that bad

Same, my first time IV breeding. I have a Marill with perfect Attack and Speed and another one with perfect Attack and SpDefense. I'll be happy if I can hatch one with all of those.

Speaking of, finally got an Adamant one with perfect HP, Attack, Defense, Special Defense, and Speed! Has Thick Fat, but thankfully I can just get an ability capsule to change that to Huge Power. Finally I can stop lol.

Have a lot of extras I'll probably give away tomorrow at some point if anybody wants them. I think I've got something like 10-15 with four perfect stats and a couple boxes with three perfect stats (all adamant, ability varies). They've all got, at minimum, aqua jet+belly drum. Some also have some other moves that can be learned by level (double-edge, superpower, aqua tail, etc).

Well if you have two in the IVs that you want to EV train anyway I don't see why not.

That combo sounds crazy good, but I don't feel like going through all that breeding again lol. Maybe I'll just train this one for now.

It could get either one of those moves, but never both in previous gens. Since Poliwhirl couldn't get Aqua Jet, and only fathers can pass on egg moves, you couldn't have both at the same time. However, egg moves are passable from mother and father now, so Aqua Jet + Belly Drum became possible.

Definitely not required. It used to be illegal though, so I wanted to try it out. Huge Power definitely should be used though I think. Defenses aren't bad, but it's pretty weak without Huge Power, and if you wanted to go with a defensive water type, there are better choices. Choice Band would probably work pretty well.

Well, again, illegality was a part of that in this instance. Choice band is probably the safer option, but +6 attack plus a priority attack just sounds awesome

Sure man, I'll make sure to save one for you. Marill's in that nice Water 1 egg group, so it'll be solid for passing IVs onto other stuff (off the top of my head, most/all of the water starters, the Dratini line, etc).

Did you use Roost to recover HP? Roost removes a flying pokemon's flying type for a turn.
