Thanks DaBoss! Sorry I didn't have anything better to offer, I'm not that knowledgeable on IVs so its pretty new to me. This is also my first Froakie so it makes it even better. :D

I just bought Pokemon X even though I haven't finished a Pokemon game since like...the original Gold. I might have finished Diamond...but I don't remember.

WHATEVER. DAMN YOU POKEMON.

Like what exactly? Hidden Power is actually a lot more manageable this generation.

-Flamethrower base power being 90.
-Ice Beam base power being 90.
-Thunderbolt base power being 90.
-Surf base power being 90.
- Blizzard base power being 110.
-Thunder base power being 110.
-Fire Blast base power being 110.
-Ice type are still weak.
-only 69 new Pokémon with the rest being filled with mega evolution, thankfully they look to be a gen 6 thing and are unlikely to return.

Second shiny today. Basculin. Barely any color difference.

So team building time. I'm currently building a Roserade from scratch because after taking a look at the move pool I saw that it could offer another type of support that isn't/wasn't being addressed with Toxic Spikes.

The moveset I wanted to run was:

Toxic Spikes
Sleep Powder
Energy Ball
Sludge Bomb

That is until I jumped the gun and started EV training my Roselia without remembering that Sleep Powder is a move it learns only through breeding chains. Now the thing looks like:

Toxic Spikes
Stun Spore
Energy Ball
Sludge Bomb

I there any noticeable difference or reason why I would want Sleep over Paralysis with this guy? Also, for reference's sake, it's fully trained in Sp. Atk and Speed with a Timid nature. (+Speed/-Attack)

Team Chespin always wins.
Chespin = Articuno
Fennekin = Zapdos
Froakie = Moltres
I'll take that as a no.

So, what stats = perfect IV at level 1?

Also, is it possible for people with digital copy to backup the save data (as in copy to the pc), trade a poke and load the old save? Will anything fuck up when conencting to the gts after that?

Pretty sure those move changes were because of special attackers being stronger than physical overall

Thanks for the Froakie, DaBoss!

Why does Audino no longer appear? I need to grind some of my undeleveled mons without overleveling another and it feels more tedious as ever after Audino+Lucky Egg treat in BW D:

Hahaha, I did the same thing with my Skill Link/Shell Smash Cloyster -- I started EV training and forgot that I have to breed for Rock Throw. Which is fine, I switched to Poison Jab instead, which provides equally broad coverage and can poison and take down Fairies, albeit with less hitting power. Skill Link is still good for a full five hits every time on Icicle Spear for an effective 125BP STAB move. Every attack is brutal after Shell Smash.

As for your question... I think Stun Spore will serve you nicely, giving you priority and occasional free turns. I think some just opt for Sleep Powder because it's just as accurate but could give several free turns to get in two layers of Toxic Spikes, albeit the Sleep status wears off.

I did my best Gaf. I must now play the game before going to bed. Send me a PM if I didn't get to you and I'll try it again tomorrow. Have like 20 more dratinis to go.

How do you tell if a Pokemon has good IV's early on? I'm close to beating the game but I understand next to nothing on breeding perfect pokemon and IV's. Hell it usually takes me quite a bit to get an egg hatch with the nature that I need haha. Ended up getting a Japan Mawile Adamant Lvl 1 with 6 in each stat and having both Ice Fang and Fire fang. Thought it was pretty need considering I never get much of anything off Wonder Trade. Out of like 50 trades That Mawile, (considering using it now to haha) and the Japan Ditto I got where the best things, with 48 trades of weedles and scuttlebugs.

So, much like DaBoss, I'm doing my own giveaway.... I don't ask anything good in return, but if you can send over some good IV'd pokemanz or X exclusives, I would appreciate!

Scyther Giveaway

All Scythers are Jolly, and have at least 3 perfect IVs (pretty sure there are some with 5 perfect IVs in the mix), and their other IVs are good enough to boot.

My friend code is 1521-3023-7741. Please PM me your FC and in-game name so I can track you!

Full shiny pansear breakdown:
Nature: Brave
Ability: Gluttony
IVs (estimated): HP 8/ ATK 19 (+)/ DEF 31/ SPATK 19/ SPDEF 31/ SPD 25 (-)

What am I going to do with this thing?
