Oh damn! T___T

Talonflame has an insanely strong hidden ability (it gives priority to flying moves).

Coupled with a choice band/life orb he is a very dangerous pokemon.

What's the priority? +1?
Sounds like my Whimsicott will be ruining some people's days with prankster worry seed (which I already run for other purposes).

So, the Froakie DaBoss gave me have the Protean ability. I dont know what to do with that :lol

Everything he does gets same type damage bonus! Plus you can change your weakness on the fly. It's crazy

I'm working on making one as good as the one he have me so I can have my name on it (lol). Got about 10 or so with 3-4 perfect IVs for anyone who missed out

Yeah, but I need some TM's to try thing. I trained the frog to have max speed and special attack so I'm not sure yet what to teach it. Anyways I'll get into that after the post game.

What's everyone's biggest disappointment in the new game?

- Lack of real post-game content, especially after Gen 4 and 5 where there was oodles of post-game.

This basically can sum up most of my issues.

There are no post-game tutors for interesting or in some cases core moves. If you look at this list of Gen 4 and 5 tutor moves... its staggeringly large. A lot of these moves became staples for particular Pokes, such as Iron Head for Drilbur, and other moves expanded movesets to allow Pokes to cover elements they hadnt covered before, like the elemental punches.

The Battle _____s arent particularly interesting or rewarding either, and there were only 2 post-game dungeons to explore, with no full-fledged zone.

Not saying I am unhappy with the game, just feels like so many steps forward and backwards in different areas at the same time.

Edit: Oh, and lack of evolutions for underwhelming Pokes that I love (Sandslash, Farfetch'd, Delibird, etc.)

I've been pretty lucky with WonderTrade lately. My last three were a Japanese Ditto with Pokerus, Scyther, and Squirtle.

Must be karma for trying to send out only good Pokemon.

What's everyone's biggest disappointment in the new game?

  • The presumably non-existent post-game (I'm still grinding for the last gym)
  • The frame rate drops and all that comes with it
  • The evolution methods for Sylveon and Malmar
  • Sub-50 mons not getting adjusted to level 50 stats for online multiplayer
That's pretty much it.

I guess I might care about the lack of postgame in this if I wasn't so tied up in breeding and the Friend Safari. I've put in 110 hours+ already, the most out of any Pokemon game I've ever played. This one ticks every box for me.

Wow.... two perfect Swinubs in a row. Incredible.

One doesn't have Thick Fat though. I'm not complaining lol.
Haha yeah I got two perfect Fennekin in a row today, too.

Speaking of which still up for grabs if someone can give me either a perfect Froakie in return on a female Froakie with 4 perfect IVs and Protean that I could breed myself that'd be awesome.

still slowly poking away... but fuck is this game unbalanced O.o

As in, i reached the pokemon factory and trainers have lvl 35ish pokemon, while my whole party is averaging high 40s and all i've done is fight about every trainer that's in the main path, no real grinding.

exp share is mandatory, and defaults to on... so you'd think they would balance towards that?

See, I can appreciate the Friend Safari and what it does to competitive breeding... makes life significantly easier. Pretty sure I would have killed for this kind of ease back in Gen 4 when I played competitive. However, at the same time the lack of move tutors seriously hinders what you can do with the Pokes, and will end up creating a system where if you cannot transfer from X/Y -> B/W with the Pokebank, players will just breed in B/W and use the move tutors, and then transfer over to X/Y to battle, basically eliminating the usefulness of the Safari in the coming months.

Is there any specific reason why I don't see many people using neither of the cover pokemon in their final team?

Typically i don't like using Legendary Pokemon unless i am fighting against another team of Legendary Pokemon. For the most part they are really overpowered compared to the rest of the monsters and it feels like cheating for me.

Saying that, i have used Mewtwo a fair bit for quickly grinding through the Elite 4 to boost my lower level guys.

No local transfer app. It's awful. I wouldn't mind another RS style refresh, or I'd love to be able to transfer stuff. This in-between stuff is awful.

And the fact that Global Link is still a thing. If it even mildly resembles what it was in BW, it's probably among the worst ideas the franchise has seen.

Also disappointed that the Elite 4 don't improve after you beat them once. Hard to power level. And speaking of that, I'm annoyed there isn't an option in multiplayer to autolevel everything to 100. Don't know why they like 50.

And every generation I'm disappointed that IVs are still around. They always seem to improve that system a bit though, so it's pretty ok.

If they kept Challenge Mode, it wouldn't be a problem. Its not just the Exp. Gap that's the problem but the fact that nobody has the balls to use more than 3 Pokemon against you until the endgame. Even if you turn off Exp. Share and just level up your team as you go through Kalos a lot of the gyms are just big pushovers.

What's wrong with Global Link?

I skipped BW gen so I don't exactly know what function it played then, but I think it's great in XY.

how in the fuck are we 6 generations in and Gamefreak still hasn't explained the fact that Kangaskhan are born with a baby Kangaskhan inside of them? Why doesn't it have a pre-evolution yet?? :l :l :l

It makes it even worse that they acknowledged the Pokemon through Mega Evolution.

So I finally unlock the Lumiose boutique and enter thinking I'll finally be able to get some clothes... and WTF is up with these prices?
KuGsj.gif
I knew Lumiose was Paris-inspired but I didn't think they'd nail Paris' prices as well =/

Guess I'm poor after all. Oh well. I had dinner at a 2-star restaurant and each of my 'mons gained like 3 levels each (from 38 to 41 or so). Also, what happens if I win each battle within the allotted time limit?

And what do I do with these mushrooms?

So many questions.

Had my first black out because I forgot I only had a level 20 Fletchinder when I went into Friend Safari lol

Damn you Fire Spin

The money penalty now is less than cab fare in Lumiose City

You just sell the mushrooms. Nothing more from my understanding.

Sell the mushrooms! It's a great way to make easy cash.
