I can see that being faster than grinding one Pokemon, but is it really faster than grinding five at once?
Well, from the past few pages it seems to me like this is already happening. Perfect Pokemon aren't so rare now, they're definitely starting to seem like a must if you wanna go competitive.
Well, the point of Super Training was to make EV training (an essential process to build a decent team) accessible to all. The deeper mechanics such as breeding are probably kept this way in order to maintain some distance for dedicated players.

Mamoswine can tank them if it has thick fat and then proceed to fuck them up with earthquake.

I'm not competitively good at Pokemon, but Mamoswine seems like a guy with high Defensive stats to tank a hit, and good Attack to send out a really walloping Earthquake.
EDIT: Ah yeah Thick Fat. That'd do it.
Haha, no doubt. That's a good point. Sounds like Metagross or Chesnaught needs to learn Earthquake. Or Aegislash needs Rock Slide or Head Smash.

Thick Fat helps if they use fire for sure, and in the case of Blaziken it has the same base speed as Mamoswine. So unless it can surely get a speed boost off, it better damn be sure it's faster.
Most dudes online aren't even properly EV trained. I'm not too worried about getting outsped. If this was a tourney though, I wouldn't risk Mamoswine like that.
I want a Carvanha, I hope someone accepts my GTS offer.

Got my first Shiny today since Gold and Silver! Shiny Wooper in the Friend Safari.
Taillow is very rare in horde battles in the route.
Yea thats what I was thinking. Im currently using a mega gardevoir with thunderbolt, moonblast, psychic, and grass knot and it's really good.

Blaziken also hits hard with fighting stab SE. That's the thing with Mamoswine, he has the tanky stats, but so many weaknesses. :\
Blaziken in general can just run protect to always get the speed boost. The problem is making sure it kills stuff in one hit, so it has to sneak a swords dance in some where.

So here's a question: Say I want access to something like Serebii.net, but on my 3DS? What's the best option for that? Sometimes it's not always the best option to grab my smartphone, like when there's a lazy cat in my lap, so I'm wondering what my best option from the 3DS is.
I can't but help to tip, considering that it COULD MAYBE have an impact on the shiny percentage. Maybe perhaps.

I seem to remember Bulbapedia being workable on my 3DS during my Black catch-em-all days. It's probably still missing a lot of XY information, though.

Quacklin' is the name you get from the in-game Farfetch'd trade.
It just wasn't meant to be.

Its special defense is pretty good - Calm (+SpD/-Atk) or Careful (+SpD/-SpA) is good for defensive Lapras, with EV investment in HP and SpD.
edit: I'd go with Calm, because of the wider availability of special moves it has/can learn.

Just use some Rare Candies, or fight some trainers and you are set

He learns Sacred Sword at 51. A 90 base power physical Fighting Move. Gives him great coverage.

Yea, but Aegislash can learn sacred sword from the move relearner before level 51. Theres no need to wait at all.

One thing I was wondering about. Does the Ability Capsule allow you to switch into a hidden ability?
If so I will try to grind Battle Points instead of wasting time in the safari.

Just filled my 6th box of Tyrunts. No shiny yet.
I've only gotten shinies using the fishing method, which has netted me a shiny Clauncer, Remoraid, Poliwhirl and Skrep (in Y)
I tried using the Pokeradar for a bit, but yeah.. I lost my "touch"
