As an impartial bystander to both consoles (haven't preordere either one) this thread is extremely entertaining.

I hope it's true, just for the meltdowns again.

My opinion is the xbox could probably get cod to run 1080p but not as easily as ps4. And with launch looming close they probably just decided to fuck it and run at 720. It is activision after all.

Nevertheless, next gen is going to be fantastic, even without owning a console.

The developers can't go back & fix the resolution for the Xbox One version of the game now (if this rumor is true, that is), plus a patch to 1080p would be impossible.

Assassins Creed = ??? ( is 480p acceptable? )
