Seven boxes of non-shiny Ralts on the wall, seven boxes of Ralts
You take one down, and pass it around,
Six boxes of non-shiny Ralts on the wall

*sigh*

I know even with the Matsuda Method I'm nowhere near the 50% probability point yet for a shiny. That lies somewhere on the other side of 1000 Ralts, but it's beginning to get a little old to grab eggs, hatch eggs, deposit green Ralts, grab another eggs, Wonder Trade Ralts off when the PC boxes get filled.

There isn't anything else I can do to boost the odds? Or speed up the process? I'm using a Talonflame as pointman for the egg team because it has Flame Body. I saw there's a hatching O-power, how do I get that?
 
So if I breed a Ditto with Def. and Sp. Atk + Charmeleon with Sp. Def and Speed, I keep going until it has 3 of those IVs then swap?

Max Style and get it in the Lumiose hotel after owning every other o-power I believe.

Do you have the Oval Charm?

I don't think there's a set way to do it, but that sounds like it could work. I have one with 5 perfects (and 0 speed which the judge was happy to tell me so this thing isn't even usable) and I'm breeding it with one of her brothers that had perfect speed and perfect something else.

I have a box full of the leftovers which I'll probably dump via wonder trade. If anyone is interested in a sigilyph with at least 1 guaranteed IV I can trade some of them off directly. Some have more perfects, all are modest.

Well, I have all the other 16 O-Powers, so I just need to style up. Been meaning to do that, actually. I've been building up the Bargain O-Power to do the Pokéball Boutique trick for that.

And what's an Oval Charm?

Basically I am trying to increase the odds right? Once I get one wit 3 perfect IV's I can swap that one in. Then four then five. Just want to make sure I am not wasting time lol.

That's basically it, yeah. Every swap increases the chance to get those 5 perfects.
 
Game Sync is so flakey. I had 4000ish poke miles, I successfully synced but they just disappeared into the the ether. They're not on the site, not on my game. Been like that for over 24 hours.
 
I haven't played in two days due to insane work schedules and personal obligations.

I'm having insane withdrawals.

I've been saved right before the E4 all this time too. God damn.

Time to wrap it up now! Pumped

Increases the chance of an egg, you get it by /Seeing/ all of the 3 Kalos Pokedex Pokemon and showing your Dexes to the Professor
 
Just bred an adamant Hawlucha with perfect Attack, Special Defense, and Speed IVs. I love the new breeding mechanics. Now if you'll excuse me, El Fuerte and I have some Super Training to do.

In B2/W2, you had to catch all of the Pokemon in the Regional Dex. Not sure about XY. Serebii doesn't list a requirement.
 
So is the third pokemon in someone's safari really rare to come across?


I have been farming a gaffers for like 30 minutes but have yet to see his ditto :(

Idk. Skullhydra's safari is usually consistent. Although it's weird in that I can still find imposter dittos even when I'm offline. Don't both people need to be online to find hidden abilities?
 
Does anyone know if hawlucha ever learns anything good? Mine is lvl 42 and only knows power up punch, flying press, roost, and fly. And I taught him two of those moves from TMs.

edit: didn't realize serebii has updated move lists for new pokes. Looks like I'm going to find a flying pokemon to replace hawlucha. any suggestions?

Wait, you can do friend safari offline? Also I am not in Skullhydras.

Yeah there's nothing at all to stop you. You have access to all 3 pokemon from my time playing at school iirc. Or at least I was able to catch ditto at school, his 3rd slot. Wasn't paying much attention to the other two.

I'm thinking there's more to this than simply being online.

This game really needs a non-voice chat system. All I can do is put up a random Pokemon and have no idea if they want or need it.

Or at the very least, the ability to have someone 'request' a Pokemon from my boxes. Trade system is awful with randoms.

My fav Banette just got his Mega with Pranskter. I'll spam so many priority substitutes and Double Teams you won't even know what are you fighting. Smogon rules be damn, I run Starmie wity Minimize. I'm crazy.

Huh, guess I assumed you needed online.


Also, when you first go into a safari, there are 3 boxes empty (one for each pokemon) but sometimes like 2 of the boxes have faded poke balls in them. Is this significant?

It needs to have text chat.

1) 3DS mic is not good.
2) Lots of external noise comes through.

The Pokeballs represent Pokemon available in the safari that you haven't seen yet. The third Pokeball becomes available if they've beaten the Elite 4 (after being online at the same time as them so the game can verify).
