Thanks mate! I used the markings to indicate which IVs were perfect so you should be able to keep track of it (Attack, Def, Sp. Att, Sp. Def, Speed, HP are the pattern I use). So that one has the second and fourth marking filled in!

The markings don't transfer over. :P

But I checked with the guy out of compulsion. It has a defense and special defense that can't be beat!

Pokemon don't lose pokerus, do they? They just lose the ability spread it after 24 hours I thought. And if you box them, the timer to spread it freezes until you take it out again.

Am I right or am I right?

Yeah. Make sure it's in your box by midnight or else it can't be spread.

Box it and you freeze time.

EDIT:
Ah, well good to know for the future. And glad I picked the right one at least haha.

Actually, wait, no, I was wrong, the markings DO transfer over. My bad. :P

I got a Graveler holding an Everstone from the GTS. I assume someone was trying to troll me but, whatevs, free Everstone :P

This is funny, because I just traded a graveler with an everstone about 15 minutes ago.

I'm thinking about making a water themed party. Definitely going to have Blastoise and Greninja in it. Probably Malamar and Skrelp's evo. If Gyrados can fly, then I'll have him as the flying type. And then maybe a Kingdra.

Can you find a dragon scale in this game? If so, that might be my party. I've just beat the sixth gym and wanted to start forming my elite four party.

Pretty much. There's a few references to new regions in the game, and he just runs with it. Nothing to see here, move along.

I don't see the flaw in his argument though.
At the very least, they confirm that a game with a region other than Kalos will be in 6th Gen.

Just cause I lost like 10 games in a row to Nub doesn't mean Pikachu sucks.
I don't have Perfect IVs in anything but Speed!

Once I get a Perfect Pikachu, things will be different!

There's references to the other regions in Black and White too, but we never saw another region in Gen V. The NPC isn't hinting at new regions in Gen VI specifically, just "in the future."

And saying that a new Pokemon game will someday come out featuring a new region isn't really newsworthy.

Haha, those were fun games man. I thought you had me that last match.

and Pikachu was definitely your weak link....
lol

edit: What kind of ev spread are you using for you goodra? It was a tank.

So here's a question. I've never experimented with egg moves before, so I don't know much about them, but pokemon in the same egg group can breed, right? So since Venusaur and Heliolisk are in the same egg group (monster), would it be possible to breed a helioptile that knows solar beam?

I know grass moves don't have the best coverage, but wouldn't solar beam on a solar power heliolisk be really good anyway? If I'm reading correctly, the damage would be 180 instead of 120, and it would attack instantly because heliolisk's ability works in the sun. It wouldn't get STAB, but still.

Does Heliolisk learn it via egg move?
Not everything can be breed onto other pokemon, although it learning solar beam is likely (Chesnaught Drain Punch am cry).

Prankster doesn't activate on the turn Banette mega evolves. :( I wanted to dump Protect for something else, but I don't know if I can trust Mega Banette enough to last past its first turn often.

On the plus side, I got Destiny Bond bred onto Banette. I hope it's as fun as it sounds.

I thought that was the point of egg moves. To get something you can't learn by level or TM (Like I said, I don't know much about them.)

Why not try it and find out? The first egg you hatch should have solar beam if Heliowhatever can inherit solar beam.

The Pokemon in question still needs to be compatible with the egg move. Not all Pokemon can get all egg moves within their egg group(s).

Just wait till the greatest Pokemon becomes available.
Pikachu just can't shine because Whimsicott's not out yet.

With Tailwind, nothing can stop the duo!

I see. So I click on "egg moves" for helioptile on serebii and it doesn't take me anywhere. I assume that means they don't have it updated, so it's still possible, but unlikely?

I don't know if I have the energy to figure it out, myself. lol. Oh well, I'll just keep an eye out.

I don't think he's gotten egg moves up for all of the Gen VI Pokemon yet, there's a lot of testing that has to go into that.

Only problem with Thief is that it requires you to not have a hold item (unless you're using it for damage alone). Trick or Switcharoo work better.

Well i'm using it with an acrobatics user as well, so maybe that'll work out? Unless the penalty to acro isnt worth it.

man i'm having a real good time just going through my pokedex and catching mons. Can listen to podcasts while on the train or whatever and I get to fill out my dex!
