Hey, I have a question for people here.
First, keep in mind I don't plan to go all out competitive or anything. Also, consider my dedication to breeding limiting, being a thing I've never partook before for the same reasons it is limited now. I don't plan to breed any more of this Pokemon.
I'm making a decision between two Scythers I have (Will be a Scizor). Both are Adament Technician.
One has a max IVs in Attack, but has some dismal stats in defense and speed. Average or above average in everything else. Was told he was "above average" by the guy in Kiloude.
I have another that has max IVs in HP and speed. The attack IV is high teens (19 is the number I've been given via a gen 6 calculator). Defense is low twenties, and everything else is average. Been told he was "relatively superior".
Is it worth taking the "relatively superior" one despite the drop in Attack IV?

If you're good at mindgames you can use him pretty well, but he's not going to take a single hit. If you want a straight up sweeper other Pokemon do it better, but he's perfectly workable.

Oh yeah, and I'm also on that Pikachu train. Raichu has always been an awful design and I doubt a Mega evolution would save it. Pikachu for life.
My weekly rotation is new episodes of Idle Thumbs, Tone Control, Giant Bomb, Bombing in the AM and bi-weekly episodes of 8-4 Play (games), I listen to a political podcast about Aussie politics called Something Wonky, two podcasts about China - a focused China History Podcast and a more random but still intelligent podcast called Sinica - a podcast about expats in Japan called Japanofiles, weekly The Bugle, weekly Night Vale, and I plug the gaps with This American Life, Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, and Planet Money.

The Pokedex doesn't tell you where a Pokemon can be found unless you've already caught it, right? That kinda makes it a pain to go looking for specific Pokemon without looking it up.
Maybe I'm crazy but I wish they'd add in-game ways to change not only Ability but Natures and IVs. Genders aside. IVs at the very least.
Seems really archaic and not fun to have your favorite Pokemon permanently gimped/disadvantaged due to extremely low odds of ending up with what you need, or spending days breeding and tossing the rejects which doesn't seem like the spirit of things.
If they want uniqueness they should run with concepts like Vivillon, Furfrou and Pumpkaboo. Like allowing you to catch Pokemon in varying shades of color and sizes, and then customize them. /wishful thinking

woot battle 51 in super singles. Master showed up at 50 instead of 49 like in previous gens. Got 50 bp instead of 20 as well.
got a nice statue put up at the Maison's entrance. guess I'm doing doubles now.
I bred a perfect Gible earlier. I forgot this thing learns Outrage via move tutor or by egg move breeding. Oh well Fairy types fucked everything up so not getting locked to Outrage might be a good thing in the Maison. Running Dragon Claw instead.
also earned Grand Duchess title in the Chateau. 300K for Black Writ; I'll try it tomorrow and hope the price tag is worth it.

It absolutely tells you where you can find it. But it won't tell you what kind of rods you'll need etc. (Though it does at least tell you 'use a rod')

And I didn't know that you need certain rods to catch certain Pokemon. I've just been using the best rod that I have.
Dammnnn what kind of team did you run for Super Singles? I only made it up to round 22 before losing to confusion hax. -_-

Doesn't 255 steps give closeness? Give it that bell item and do the egg trick where you spin around Lumiose with a coin under your analog. Come back in 10 minutes, evolve.

I'm trying to Masuda Method an Eeevee (because I wanna try it at least once) and I just started. Out of the 16 I've hatched so far, 15 of them were male. XD

Go to Le Wow in Lumiose, Hibernal Avenue. Yes, you have to pay 100,000 to dine there, buuuuuut... Prize Money Lv. 3 + Amulet Coin = You make twice that back, and then you can sell the Balm Mushrooms you get after for a clean 100,000 too. I love Le Wow. You can break even or you can clean house with them.

I'm afraid my touch of OCD would kill me if future shiny Honedge doesn't have the stats I need. Max HP and DEF, but not ATK and SpD? I might explode from indecision.This is me.

I've been enjoying setting small daily goals for myself in this game. Like one day I decided to reset for a good Mewtwo. The next day I decided to breed a decent Marill. Next day I decided to reset on Zygarde. Etc etc. Helps me not get bored/overwhelmed.

You could always use Swords Dance to raise its Attack
I'm using a Shiny Raichu that's Above Average, but only has 31 IVs in SpA/Speed

I play like this as well and am really satisfied with the results (as long as they show up!).
My rule of thumb is the fancier hair/hat the stronger their Pokemon likely are. Vanilla = Weak. Always a risk though.
lol yeah for sure. So far it hasn't been too bad. Today I just spent time evolving stuff in my first two boxes. Easy enough

Grrr farming some Eevee's hoping to find a decent nature one and they keep killing themselves. -_-'
Finally got all my Ditto natures from the safari.. Finally. Naive nature took me like six hours. I now have about three boxes full of Dittos. Haven't taken half of them to the IV judge yet... But thank god I'm done. Can finally start breeding! I'm OCD and wanted to ensure I had all the natures on all the dittos.. x_x
