The press were invited today to an event in San Francisco to play the latest build of NBA 2K14 and the Xbox One version was conspicuously missing in action. Sound familiar?

Cause for concern yet again for another multi platform game missing like Call of Duty and Need For Speed? Or just a marketing deal with Sony?

Discuss.

Update #1: famousmortimer chimes in.

It's not a marketing deal with sony. None of these PS4 show/ xbox one not shown situations have been deals with sony. I'm saying this with confidence.

Marketing deal my ass. This system wasn't ready for this year. A marketing deal wouldn't detract potential sales for your game by only letting the public play it on one system.

Speaks volumes. People need to stop denying this and stop drinking the MS PR kool aid, then maybe we'll get some straight answers instead of beating around the bush.

Are they just choosing to show the strongest looking version(PS4) or are the Xbox1 games not ready/looking bad in comparison?

Was it shown on PS3/360 as well? I feel like if it was shown for every platform except one that would be pretty damning. On the other hand, if just one version was shown I don't think that signifies anything.

Jesus Christ. MS can't get a break. This bad news isn't some anti Xbox conspiracy. It's plain old real ass shit. Xbox One simply wasn't ready to release this year.

This is just sad.

I'm starting to feel bad for Microsoft at this point. Not so much executives who thought it was a good idea to push out a unfinished console this year. No I'm feeling bad for the people who will lose their jobs when Microsoft shutdown/sells their entertainment division.

The Xbox One is an absolute disaster right now.

As someone who already purchased One in full, this is sad news.

Hoping Forza 5 and Ryse and launch along with Kinect 2.0 UI navigation make up for everything else.

The promise of Halo 5 is the only thing keeping me roped in at this point.

I really doubt that will ever happen.

I'm sorry but the picture is starting to become clear. There is going to be a big difference between systems DAY 1.

Ruh roh. Normally, I'd pass this kind of thread off as concern trolling, but with the recent CBoaT/famousmortimer bombshells I can't simply dismiss this.

Doesn't really matter to me, personally, because I don't play sports games. But it'd be nice to hear some good news with regards to an Xbox One game sometime soon :)
