Pokémon XY |OT2| Would you like to leave a tip?

Your son should abuse the share exp.

Also, I think you can do that exploit, I mean, he traded with you and didnt save, so the thing he sent you are still in his box and at the same time you have them on yours right?

The only problem is that you cant control pokes past certain level unless you got the right badge, so dont give them overleveled stuff

Yeah, you're right, I'm sure we already have duplicate Pokemon by this point, I hadn't looked into it closely as it happened this morning and I had to run off to work. I think he'll be pretty happy to get some of my better guys at no cost to me, it should ease the pain of the lost creatures/progress.

He is using Exp. Share already, is there a specific way to abuse it beyond just having it turned on?

Males can pass down Hidden Ability if paired with a ditto now. Not sure if it's 100% chance tho, But I guess a pair of pokes that were breed to have high IV are better than a wild ditto + a male with a hidden ability

Ah, thanks. I'll keep them around then.

Have a smaller party (so, get your main 6, do not try to train more than 6 by rotating them) and try to rotate who is the lead of the party and try to have a varied enough party. That's what I do. The only problem I had were in areas desinged around certain elements like a cave, where not all pokes could fight so even with the 50% exp they fell behind a bit.

Also traded pokemon level up faster.

I know we're not even halfway there, but OT3 NEEDS to be Pokemon XY |OT3| Maybe if you got rid of that yee-yee-ass haircut, you'd get some bitches on your dick!

Anyone have a 4 or 5 31 IV Ditto they don't mind parting with. I have a few Timid and Adamant ones from the friend Safari as well as a few lesser wanted natures. It's just easier to breed with different OT numbers.

Cool, thanks for the tips!

Quick question. I just started horde ev training (Which is so legit), and was wondering if the EVs stop at 252. Do I need to manually train those last few points so that I don't waste the extra six EV points?

+1

Although, what's the point of a haircut if you're forced to wear a hat?

your trainer is actually bald underneath the hat. They wear a hat to hide this.

It stops at 252.

One more thing, use status effects. Things like sleep/paralysis are really good.
As a kid (when playing yellow) I'm sure I just wanted to hit hard and fast, so I discarded anything that didnt do damage. Status effects can shut down the npcs pretty fast so tell him to use them whenever is possible.

My boys!

Thuggin' it up. I've already done some shuffling. Cycled out Zweilous, Chesnaught, Golurk for Toxicroak, Trevenant, Flygon.

I just got the fairy badge at ~28 hrs in, and NOW I find out you can press L to see attack move details during combat... XD

The friends in this are like so darn good. Much better than how they were in Black and White with the shell, Cheren, and stereotypical female blonde that can't think. They also look better. I'm not sure if they're better than Barry yet, though, but I'd say they are definitely on par. Barry made me laugh a lot.

I feel the exact opposite lol. Main rival is really bland and beating him is depressing as hell because I can feel his hopes and dreams draining away with every battle. Shauna is cute but compared to the blonde girl from BW she's actually useless. BW girl had development and motivation. Shauna just follows me around thinking I'm cool. The other two may as well not exist they're so pointless.

It's an overall cap of 252 instead of 255, so go wild.

Also those six points translate to effectively nothing in an off-stat, so don't sweat it.

Friends I'm running this bad boy:

Ability: Natural Cure
Item: Big Root
Leech Seed
Will-O-Wisp
Horn Leech
Phantom Force

low sp.atk. high atk. nature, EV trained for HP/defense/spc. defense. I know it's probably best practice to pick one of def/spc.def but there you have it.

His play is to get Leech Seed and Burn on ya, then stall by healing with Horn Leech or phasing out for a turn with Phantom Force. He's working real well in Battle Maison and against my buddies, have no goddamn clue if this is at all feasible in the Lunatic Metagame.

Battle EV training stops at 252 as well?! Oh. My. God.

Also, I've finally got all of the Power Items. Now to wrangle someone who has Ditto in their Friend Safari and I'm all set.

I'm starting to see more and more failed breeds on Wonder Trade...

Kinda hilarious since I have 3 boxes of failed Lapras to get rid off :p

I've already traded away around 3 full boxes of "failed" breeds (though that is putting it harshly because like half of those had at least 4 perfect IVs) in the wonder trade. One of my big hopes from trading them is getting other failed breeds with a few good IVs for future breeding since I just started I don't have a 4-5 IV guy for every egg group yet (or a strong ditto).

To be honest it's worth it alone for pokemiles. I haven't been able to get a game sync in today so it's not entirely accurate, but, last I check I had enough pokemiles for about 60 heart scales, which is amazing.

I've got nearly a box full of pokemon with useful natures, IV's, and egg moves for breeding from wonder trading my stuff off. It's so great.

I wanted to give this guy a shot myself as a staller, but he has 5 weaknesses ;[

So I was browsing the competitive forums and looking through some battles that people have posted online and came away with two things:

First, Aegislash looks like it's dominating the early game so far. It really is too good but it presents a fun guessing game. BUT I think I might know the answer to checking it. Pyroar kinda sucks overall, but I think it acts as a pretty hard counter to the swordshield since it can't get hit by priority shadow sneak and can hit back with Fire Blast without having to worry about King's Shield lowering its attack. Which means Pyroar is useful, sorta. Any excuse to use that mane though.

Second, MegaBlastoise is pretty good, a whole lot better than I thought it would be. It can still rapid spin entry hazards away but now it can actually hit like a truck (tank?), and can learn Aura Sphere and Dark Pulse through egg moves.

Also, anyone have a random Chloryhyll Ivysaur I can have? Or a friend safari with Ivysaur? I wanna run chloryphyll venusaur with Charizard Y on a sun team. I can give you decently IV'd Bagons/Scythers/Growlithes or one of my two IV dittos from friend safari in exchange. PM me.

not gonna do calcs, but I'm pretty sure Sacred Sword wrecks Pyroar

Then how do you get ties.

you don't?

Yeah it's true, but none of them are crippling and he has a fair number of resistance/avoidances. Plus focusing on HP/def means he can usually take a hit as long as it isn't super powered up, and then he blinks away a turn for leechseed recovery using phantom force.

Like I say, I don't play with lunatics, but he's holding his own in my layman's circle. Plus, sometimes you gotta balance perfection against playing with awesome fuckin' dudes.

Goddammit. Forgot it runs that too. Poor Pyroar, I tried at least. I hate that SwordShield might be on everyone's team. But it adds a lot to prediction and is kinda fun to play against. Unless you guessed wrong. Then it's GG.

Agreed. I do play with hyper competitives but I'll always use Arcanine, even if he struggles to hold his own. And the rest of my team is built from the years of playing, they just happen to be good too.
