Never posted my first E4 team from 10/22
Diantha gave me a major run for my money, for obvious reasons. I literally took out 5 of her pokemon with Tyrantrum alone, then... well you know what happens. Thank you based Drifblim.
I see you take a diet made of dragons! What would happen if you got an enemy with a fairy or ice diet! Take some other supplements.

Don't worry, this is not a competitive team. I'm VERY aware of the Ice weakness. But to Kangi, Thick Fat scoffs at your puny ice attacks. (As does Goodras amazing SpD)
And yes, DRAGON 4 LYFE!

Battle Chateau also makes a good leveling area when you obtain the Writ that adds enemy levels by 20.

lawl I just had Lucario sweep most of Diantha's team with Close Combat (yeah you too Goodra, your terrible physical defense gets overkilled by STAB Adaptability CCs) then had Jolteon Shadow Ball Mega Gardevoir twice (lol)

Well there's always Smogon to help.
Set up a cookie cutter team 1st to learn the basics or something, that's how I started.
Yeah that's what I thought, but I kind of want to play around with a defensive Mega Venasaur. Or try stuff with trick room.
Well I dont have the TMs yet so I'll go for something basic.

Oh shit double blade, I want to do something with that poke, but I cant find the stone to evolve it. Bad luck at the extra super training stages.

Aegislash's defense and attack base stats change around depending on its forme, that's the whole gimmick of the pokemon.

So I'm thinking of a team. Considering metagame, it's probably not gonna be that good, but I'm just gonna play randoms mostly, so I'm sure I'll be able to do well enough to enjoy myself. My problem is I can't think of a good 6th pokemon.
Right now I'm thinking of Drought Ninetails, Solar Power Heliolisk, Protean Greninja, Gooey Goodra, and Sheer Force Mawile (plus Mega Mawile).
This team is built mostly of pokemon that I just think are cool and have cool types and abilities, etc., but there is a certain amount of synergy. I'm having trouble thinking of a 6th that both cool and doesn't throw off what little balance there is. I like galvantula, and sticky web would work with gooey goodra and some other stuff I plan on having, but it's typing wouldn't be good. I like Alakazam, but I feel that would be too many weak defense sweepers.
Any suggestions?

I'm not a very competitive person and mainly just make fun teams to fight the elite 4 with. Will have an all Eeveelution team, all starter team (one from every gen unless I find it too hard), all dragon team, etc.
I feel like Magic Guard is too good of an ability to dismiss. I mean the Mega is super fast, but priority is just going to brutalize him since he can't hold a focus sash anymore. Trace could be useful in certain situations though.

Interesting seeing some of the gen V moves given to almost everyone. Most ground types I've caught have learned bulldoze and almost every dragon has learned dragon tail.

Ugh, Horde EV training gives me more EVs per battle(session) but it takes me forever to get the horde of pokemon I want :/

Hey all, yesterday I played my first Pokemon game in almost a decade. I'm seeing that there's plenty of new mechanics and other things to learn but in the meantime I'm trying to put together a team consisting of some of my old favorite Pokemon. My previous teams were

I'm back in.
First Pokemon since Gold (GBC). Pretty good so far. The 4 move limit is still annoying as hell. I now have a Charmander, Pikachu, and a Pidgey, well on the way to my Yellow team!
