The first 4 IVs are easy.
I know right? Haha I usually hate grinding in my video games.. But fuck if it isn't addictive and exciting as hell to see what every single egg turns out to be.

You know, at first I thought 70 new pokemon was abysmally insufficient. But I find myself far from disappointed with the regional pokedex.
Same with me. Nver thought I'd go through this in video games. Pokemon always brings out the kid in me though

So, other than coverage against poison, is there any point to psychic compared to fairy?
Thinking about dropping psychic on gardevoir in favour of something with more coverage, but STAB against poison is pretty nice...

This game finally pushed me over the edge in getting a 3DS. I've been wanting one for a while since it has a bunch of games I'm into, and Pokemon was the last straw. I'm at the 5th gym and really enjoying it. Haven't played a Pokemon game since Emerald came out, so lots of new stuff and pokemon for me to discover. Hawlucha might be my new favorite pokemon (although Shuckle will forever be #1 in my heart).

I have Pokemon off and on since the days of Red and Blue, but man... This is the only one I've gone headfirst into, learned about IVs, EVs, etc. I haven't been this addicted to a game since Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. lol it's intense.. Really wanting to get a competitive team going!

he means offensively, although I guess maybe Fire types are annoying (what is Mega Gardevoir running anyway)
It can pretty much run through anything besides ghost/dark. My delphox became a 1 woman wrecking machine with just flame thrower and psychic

I was thinking more about the offensive side. Mainly if I should drop psychic on gardevoir in favour of energy ball or shadow ball.
Thinking of:
Moonblast
Will o wisp
Thunderbolt
Energy/shadowball
See, with fairy you get SE on dark and neutral on ghost too. And fairy covers most things Psychic is already doing.
Plus moonblast is 5bp more with 30% chance to lower SA.
I got 3 of my mons with at least 4-5 perfect IVs. Never cared for all this training so I never bothered to learn about it but now I wanna test my might. Just 3 more to go
4 more for me! I'm trying to get Japanese dittos of all the natures I need now.. I figure if I'm gonna be breeding gobs of mons I may as well improve my odds of getting shinies. Masuda method all the way!
Bad news is... The trades are completed within like 10 seconds of being put up on the GTS. :/

I caught a shiny Pinsir last night, the blue looks really nice on him.
Unfortunatley, I had a Timid Synchronizer in the lead.
I think people were saying Hyper Cutter is good if you're Mega evolving him since it prevents lowering his attack through Intimidate when hes first brought out.

Sorry to tell you this but Ability Capsules don't work on Hidden Abilities.
I'm aware of that, but Mold Breaker isn't a bad ability too. Will keep it boxed for now since I still don't have a proper team for Battle Maison.

Sweet! That one is actually pretty decent looking.
So I have a question... I've been trading on the GTS the past twenty or so minutes. Trading for japanese dittos. The trade appears successful, with the animation, and the other players' pokemon coming into my possession. But the pokemon is nowhere to be seen in any of my boxes. Is there a bit of a delay when trading out for something, and not depositing in for something? Because all the Dittos I put up on the GTS go out and I receive the pokemon. :/

The Ditto you receive replaces the one you traded. It will be in the exact spot your previous Ditto was in, giving the illusion that nothing happened.

Found my first shiny in XY today. Shiny Gulpin in a horde today while I was looking for an Abra. Pretty neat.

Think I'm gonna try to make a team trained with right EV's, a good nature, and decent IV's like most people do. I got a modest Togepi from GTS with outstanding potential overall with 31IV's in hp, special attack, and speed. Worth using? Two other questions. Is there a guide on EV training and where is the massage person at? I saw them once but I can't remember where.

Yeah, that's pretty much your only choice unless you like U-turn.
Yeah that's just it though... The spot is still empty, even though the game shows me a successful trade. And just 20 seconds ago, a ditto I deposited on the GTS had the successful trade animation, followed by a japanese-named Ditto coming into my possession... But in the very spot where it should have been, was the Ditto I originally traded.
I think the GTS is seriously fucking up right now. Can anyone else report anomalies like this? I don't think I could be the only one receiving these errors, as they are appearing to be based in the GTS.
I'm on version 1.1 of the game, if that's of any consequence.

Weird. Maybe it's an unforseen side-effect of the recent patch, which was supposed to fix some connection errors in the GTS. I haven't updated to the new version yet, so I'll send something through the GTS and check it out.
Actually, do you have pokerus by any chance? I really need it for EV training

Pretty much. Bug bite would be better if you have Technician but there's no way to get it atm
