Haters gonna hate.
Also my phone camera is terrible.
Shiny Charizard X looks freaking incredible. :O

Also, just watched a battle video by HypnoDarkrai, and I've come to the following conclusions:

- Carbink running Protect | Stealth Rock | Toxic | Moonblast is totally LEGIT -- seriously good stuff
- Shiny Talonflame looks AMAZING
- Vileplume vs. Ferrothorn is tedious and makes watching paint dry sound exciting, lol

Here's the video: U2PW-WWWW-WWW2-3ULR

Switching reverses the effects of Taunt, right?

Yes it does.

I wish it said that on the summary page

To be fair all Pokémon that have Arena Trap are ground type Pokémon, I guess Game Freak expect you find the link there.

Except it's wrong in every sense, Jessie and Jame don't exist in the Pokémon game at all, barring Yellow which was loosely based on the Animé.

It also seem to ignore all the evil act that Team Rocket did in the game, like killing Cubone's mother.

Hell it even ignore this quote by Giovannii;

"So! I must say, I am impressed you got here. Team Rocket captures Pokémon from around the world. They're important tools for keeping our criminal enterprise going. I am the leader, Giovanni! For your insolence, you will feel a world of pain!"

Source

So yeah Team Rocket and Giovanni were never the good guy and I doubt that they were even aware of Mewtwo.

Pokémon fan theory fall apart very quickly because they are poorly researched and confuse its source material in this case the Animé with the game.

How do you stop an evolution after trading via GTS? Mashing B and holding B doesnt seem to work

You can't unless the Pokémon is holding an everstone.

Is flareon's tail supposed to be so big?

Why else do you think it's so slow? :p

Shiny Trevenant is the only shiny Pokemon I've ever wanted, so I'm looking for a foreign (non-ENG) Phantump/Trevenant/Ditto with perfect IVs in everything except Sp. Attack. I have Smeargles and Tangrowths that are also penta-perfect with preferable natures and abilities (Technician and Regenerator respectively).

I have my female Phantump with Harvest and penta-perfect IVs ready to go, just need the counterpart to the Masuda Method, and then it'll be time to push my luck. If anyone could help with that, it'd be much appreciated. :)

Finally caught a Riolu - based on my tracking of encounter rates, it came in at something like 1-2%.

Maybe it's actually 5%, who knows. But it's definitely very rare.

1. Lead with fainted pokemon with Compound Eyes ability
2. Next slot is for level 50+ pokemon that knows thief
3. Fly to Dendemille town
4. Walk to Rt. 15, go to down the stairs into the ruins
5. Encounter Magneton
6. Use Thief to steal metal coat
7. Flee from battle
8. Unequip metal coat from thief-mon
9. Fly to Snowbelle City
10. Walk to Rt. 21
11. Catch a level 50+ Scyther
12. Equip that dude with the Metal Coat
13. Deposit into GTS, ask for Xerneas/Yveltal
14. Wait 6 hours

I have 4 extra Xerneases now. Trying to find a way to convert them to Yveltal/Zapdos/Moltres. Please copy this method and trade with me! I'm going to deposit a Xerneas for an Articuno now, if that works, we'll have a perfect system for trading legendaries!

I'm about to fight
Xerneas
and I've been playing without a False Swipe 'mon, but I guess it's time to use one.

What's the best currently available False Swipe user? I found this list:

Generation VI Pokémon that can Learn False Swipe from TM54
Pancham
Pangoro
Honedge
Doublade
Aegislash
Binacle
Barbaracle
Hawlucha
Other Pokémon that can Learn False Swipe from TM54
Beedrill
Farfetch'd
Nincada
Ninjask
Shedinja
Corphish
Crawdaunt
Gallade
Axew
Fraxure
Haxorus

So Sylveon and Florges are pretty similar stats and move wise. I'm wondering which one to use or if I should just forget about it and use Togekiss instead.

No need to go through the trouble since the game forces you to catch it. It's not that hard to catch either.

Honedge and any of it's evos works as a false swipe user.

I'm currently using Bisharp; it resists a lot of common types.

Go for Aegislash IMO. Massive defenses (in shield forme), and resists all of Xerneas's attacks.

EDIT: Still looking for foreign male Pokémon with 5+ perfect IVs, just like Letterbomb is. I'm willing to trade one of my shinies for one, depending on egg group and IV combo (look how awesome shiny Megazard X is, on the previous page!)

Depends on what you want to do with it. Despite being similar, the slight difference give unique roles, especially to Sylveon. If you want a better utility monster that can use Wish, Sylveon's a better choice. For offensive, most of the others can do as well.

Done. Hopefully your luck is just as good :)

I can't believe it but it really happened.

My first shiny in 110 hours by the way.

Is there a charitable person with a Ditto safari that will let me come in and a catch a bunch of Dittos. I want to use the fact that there will be a couple of 31 IVs per Ditto to kick-start my breeding program.

My safari is fire-type, and it has Growlithe as its exclusive.

If you can help me out, please PM me

Thanks!

Ambipom should have been leading that match. oops

Good game yami4ct. My team's a bit of a mess :p

You had me on the ropes a bit there. I didn't expect your Meg Kenghaskhan to be so damn fast. The fact that it outsped my Mega Lucario really surprised me. I lucked out that I burned it early with Ninetails and cut its attack. You also forced me to go with attacking after only 2 Sword Dances with Aegislash, which is far from ideal, so good on you for that one.

That Ferrothorn vs Klefki match at the beginning was hilarious as well. A confused bulky pokemon vs one that could continually hide and heal. A lot of the time, if confusion had got me and I missed some key hits like Leach Seed, I would have easily lost that one. I honestly didn't expect Ferro to do that well, as he's mostly just an opener who can drop Stealth Rock and hit a few big opponents.

So, yeah, good match all around. Ton of fun.

what other unusable Pokemon

Regigigas. What else?
As funny as skill swapping Slow Start is, it's incredibly slow and nothing is either reliably fast or bulky enough to pull it off. Prankster Worry Seed is the only reasonable way of doing it.

Naturally, there are problems with Fake-Out, which I plan on addressing with by shaking up the team with new anti-meta members.
Maybe I'll have one of them as a malimar to discourage Intimidate through team preview, or just have a metagross set that can act as a check...

Well played Busaiku, that MMawile had me on my toes all game and I only had Venomoth and Marowak to fight him. That last game was tense!

Man, capturing perfect Dittos is hard. Best so far had perfect HP, SP.Atk and SP.Def. I know I should continue as a perfect/semi-perfect Ditto saves a lot of time later but it is pretty tiring.

Doing the exact same thing. I hate 3v3.

6v6 is for babies anyway.

Real men play 4v4 double.

I haven't bothered for fully perfect. I just have them go through iterations with dittos that have perfect in a specific stat, and gradually the number of flawless stats goes up as I swap pokemon in.

Ok, quick question. When do the stat changes for Mega Evolutions happen? Is it the turn you use them, or the turn after? From experience, it feels like it's the turn after but I want to be sure.

100 BST allocated. The turn you use them - You press the button and choose an attack. It works on your closest active turn.

screw that, 6v6 doubles is where it's at

VGC is 4v4 though, is it not?
It's 4v4 with 2 extra, I believe. You have a full team but you choose 4. I often used the subway as practice but some of the support wasn't EV trained correctly.

I hope to get a chance to redo the IVs via some of my dittos. Unfortunately Regigigas is kinda stuck as-is, although it's IVs aren't too bad and at least it has adamant. Swampert was poorly implemented and shouldn't have been there, while Volcarona was a good revenge-killer for Whimsicott as Whimsicott was essentially a suicide setup with Leech/Toxic/Worry/Tailwind.

Not sure I quite understand what you're saying. Let's say I'm facing a pokemon that's just a bit faster than me. I MegaEvolve and use an attack. The MegaEvolve is faster than the one I'm facing. Does this attack go first or do I not get the speed until my next attack.

I forgot I had Sap Sipper (though I think Goodra was out in the 1st game anyways).
When both of my remaining Pokemon were asleep though, it was over.

Gotta learn how to deal with Sleep better.

You use the speed of the original form on the turn you mega evolve. In that situation, the opponent would attack first.
