Pretty sure it does, it's just annoying. I'd rather finish the battle properly.

Man, I really need to get moves with status inducing effects. I'm being beaten because they have walls that have crazy defines and just keep inducing paralysis and confusion etc on my pokemon. Just got owned by a fucking Klefki that didn't even directly damage me.
 
My friend has been saying Klefki looks like the only worthwhile new Pokemon which is a shame. Once I'm done Phoenix Wright I'm gonna go back and think up some team ideas and make at least one.

I'm so happy Charizard is going to be somewhat usable now that it gets Drought :3

... Well I guess I'm sticking Aromatherapy on my Lilligant.

Dammit, I can't use the Move Relearner for it. ;_;
 
At the end of the day I probably need to work on my strategy and play against people my level instead of random Japanese people online who are better than me haha. I've never battled pokemon or made a team outside of the main single player game before so this is all pretty new to me.

I've come up with a good strategy to battle Japanese people.

Step 1: Research what team would be the most versatile
Step 2: Spend days breeding and training your Pokemon
Step 3: Matchmake in Battle spot
Step 4: When you see someone with a Japanese name, turn off your wireless switch

Works every time.
 
Just beat the 2nd Gym, Pokemon X and Y is great so far. Perhaps because I miss Diamond/Pearl, Black and White, this feels like breath of fresh air. Aesthetically gorgeous too. Just a couple of questions I need help on.

1) Pokemon Bank. Is this service tied to your Pokemon user or your 3DS hardware? Ask in if I want to restart my game, is it possible to put my Pokemon into these boxes and retrieve them on a new game save file?

2) I lost count at the number of TMs. Every single TM is available in the game right?

3) Are there any move tutors that teach your pokemon baby move? I can't remember the exact term for it but in LG/FR, there's this guy who teach Charizard heatwave. He is what I'm looking for.

4) Hidden ability, how do you get them? Event only?

That's about it for now, I don't mind if you spoil me with the answer. Like so and so guy is available after you beat Elite 4 at ______. Thanks in advance.

An egg will be produced as long as it doesn't say Prefer to play with others.

1. PokeBank will probably tie to your Pokemon-gl.com account when it's available in December. Not sure if details on this are out yet
2. Probably not, not all pokemon are.
3. There are tutors, serebii has that info http://www.serebii.net/xy/movetutor.shtml

Haha sounds like a pretty sound strategy. Shame that almost everyone I get matched up with in Battle Spot is Japanese for whatever reason. Probably since we have similar time zones.

Do you have a female Rough Skin Gible in a Luxury ball I can use? The people in my Friend Safari don't have Gabite with Rough Skin. D:

I really need it lol. The rest of my competitive team are in Luxury Balls, must continue this trend.

Urgh, sorry for disconnecting on you brad, but the game for whatever reason is taking a ridiculous long time to communicate in between rounds. :(
 
I keep seeing Galvantula mentioned everywhere as being good all of a sudden, is it just because of Sticky Web ?

Other than that I spent all my Sunday breeding for a good Gligar with immunity, and from hunting one in a horde using a Pokemon with Entrainment, to finally breed one with the desired IV's completely from scratch that was quite the endeavor.

In the process I got completely trolled ! One of the first I hatched was a female with Hyper Cutter and a completely shitty nature, but with absolute perfect IV's xD

Managed to make one with 31/31/31/xx/31/31 in the end ! feelsgood.gif

Now I must find a special attacker or bulky special so I can farm the Battle Maison a bit because all the 'mons I trained so far are physical ones.
 
WHat are some surprisingly useful pokemon that you guys use? Particularly online?

I have 3 slots to fill on my team and am looking for ideas.
