For the Battle Maison, you only have the first four to choose from. As for online matches, have you tried beating your rival in Kiloude City? That seems to be the trigger for many aftergame unlocks.

I'm considering the fact that most sand teams are either checked by strong fighting moves or EQ considering they are mostly rock/steel.

Heliosk unfortunately is weak to both.

True, he does take care of the water problem though. He'd probably work best on a sun team now that I think of it.
 
I just remembered something. Didn't the guy who was leaking the game on 4chan say something about a Druddigonite and Galvantulanite or something? Might have been the wrong the guy though seeing as it was obviously BS.

Also, that trademark list was almost spot on. The only things it missed were Alakazam and Manectric and it still has a few others.
 
If somebody with Pokemon X could catch me a Staryu/Starmie I would greatly appreciate it :3

Hey guys, I need advice. I currently have a Modest Mega Gengar in my team with the following moveset -

Shadow Ball
Destiny Bond
Thunderbolt
Sludge Bomb

It's EV'd in both SpA and Spd, but I'm starting to wonder if I should continue breeding and get a Timid one instead. The reason I say this is because Gengar's a glass cannon anyway, for one, 170 SpA is already insane, and it'll make Destiny Bond more reliable.

I'm not too keen on the idea of spending another hour breeding the damn thing, however, and I do like having that crazy high SpA.

What do you guys think? Good the way it is? Or should I go Timid?

I know SeZMehK is doing a giveaway with Ralts, but would anyone be interested in getting some 4/5 perfect IV Timid Ralts? I have a box and a half of these bad gals/dudes to send. I also have two/three boxes of ass ones that'll get shipped off to boarding sch--wonder trade.

I think I'll wait a few days to give them out if there is demand since, SeZ just declared his today, lol.

Sun Team? His HA is Solar Power, but I'd seem him working out more on a rain team. STAB SE Thunder with 100% Accuracy is pretty sweet, plus one of his abilities is Dry Skin. I could see a Heliolisk like this on a rain team

Heliolisk@Life Orb/Leftovers
Ability: Dry Skin
Nature: Timid/Modest Nature
252 Spe/252 Sp. Atk/4 HP
- Thunder
- Surf
- Volt Switch
- Thunder Wave/Toxic/Focus Blast

If Leftovers stacks with Dry Skin, that'd be a nice recovery every turn, but Heliolisk seems more of like a hit and run guy, so Life Orb is a nice boost for attacks. I would see it playing out like:

switch into Lisk
Thunder or Surf
Volt Switch out

IIRC, pokemon hatched from eggs start with a higher base happiness (100 compared to 70, I think).

Were you running around with it in your party before using the rare candy? That would boost the happiness rate up too.
 
I want to start IV breeding for Tyrantrum, but it seems that to best use them I have to egg move for like, 3 different fangs. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I call them Trade Trolls. I don't accept any unexpected trades now unless they're from Nippon.
Japanese randoms have given me multiple Pokerus Starters and IV heavy Ditto for anything. Quite friendly!

Late on this, but bare minimum Togekiss can learn Flamethrower and Psychic through TMs. It can also learn Heat Wave via tutoring in BW, which coupled with Serene Grace has 95 base power and a 40% chance to burn.

While it's not going to see any massive use in this regard thanks to Stone Edge, Togekiss is also the only thing in the metagame to have a complete immunity to Garchomp's STAB attacks, meaning it could get the jump on someone who isn't fully prepared for it.

Also, once they inevitably come out with a Netbattle equivalent with XY metagame support, I think I might work on a team since I haven't competitively battled since RSE. How does Togekiss / Greninja scout lead / Hydreigon / Scizor (mega) / Gallade / Volcarona sound for an OU team? Would it be viable at all or are Gallade / Greninja / Togekiss not cut out for it?

Also, is Eviolite Scyther any good?

Pokemon can be caught in the game, but which one appears is entirely based on your starter? Example: to get
Zapdos
you have to have chosen Fennekin. Which is dumb. Because I want
Zapdos
but I picked Froakie. Am I stuck without
Zapdos
unless I trade for him somehow?

You are, indeed, shit out of luck, barring local/GTS trading, or someone wonder trading it away.

Agreed about it being stupid, I lucked out by picking Fennekin.

For the love of Arceus, where are the Scyther on this damn rt?! So far Ive gotten two Xerneas from the Scyther trades though. Who trades Xerneas for Scyther? Oh well, I profit.
 
Any tips for a new player? I quit Playing pokemon the gen before the gen that's before black and white lol? I forgot it's name.

Possibly. Depends on Nature and Stats i guess. Moltres is my favorite bird.

Edit: Zapdos is my favorite bird -_- If I have to, I will repeat the capture process until I get a suitable bird to trade you if that will help. I guess a Hardy Zapdos is good (no strengths or weaknesses) and the IVs you listed look pretty good I think? I might be reading it wrong but the speed unfortunately doesn't look ideal, but can't win em all.

Well, thats what EV training is for. Speed could be better yes, but having 31 IV at HP, Attack, SP. Attack and Sp Defense is pretty damn good in my opinion.
I can give it to you if you bring me a decent Moltres :)

Are the birds stats and nature decided just before the final capture, or earlier, when you first run into them?

I think they can change again. When you run from Xerneas/Yveltal the first time you can save and catch it with your preferred stats.
