Noticed that. I only read the title of the video, but yeah, it's a graphics video for sure.

Going by what i saw in the video i'd go with the current/last-gen version (PS3, 360).

The video doesn't really seem to know what it wants to be TBH

Also the difference is so small, which is surprising

Graphical leap is minimal, as expected.

We will need to wait for an AssCreed game built for Next Gen to see any substantial changes.

Can't be stressed enough .. I expect this from Ass Creed. Subtle improvements. I'm just surprised that this isn't running at 60 fps for PS4/XBONE versions.
 
No amount of high res textures will blind me from the boredom this game gives off. After 3 I'm burnt on the AC formula.
 
She mentions she was expecting a bigger difference in facial animation, but would that really be affected much by having better hardware? Isn't that more dependent on the technology used to create the animations? I could understand having a more detailed face bringing out more nuances in the animation perhaps, and maybe having to use less compression on the animations.
But I'm no hardware expert, so maybe the answer is obvious.
 
Using compressed youtube footage to compare is worthless. It also doesn't help that the video is in 720p and not 1080p.

I dunno, a lot of people that seemed to hate AC3 absolutely adore AC4. It's a very different game, it seems.

I can't wait to get my hands on it!
 
Also I think it looks good. It's a slight improvement for next gen, which for a multi plat, cross gen game is what you should expect. But if this is how a launch game looks, the future is very promising. I also think it's a testament to how good the last gen of consoles were, the games that have been coming out over the past year have blown away my expectations of what this gen could do. I can't wait to see what games coming out next fall and into the future will be able to bring.

Since it is open world, I cut it some slack. Honestly I think it will take a while before most third party devs will even reach the standard set by The Last of Us, GoW or Beyond this gen. I mean something like this is in a completely different dimension:

Yeah that's another kicker it's 720P not 1080P which would make the PS4 version look way sharper, and honestly the difference in IQ and Texture details, lightning and that storm scene is pretty big. Also that Lod makes it nicer looking.
I wouldn't say it's a reason to get a next gen console, but if you have one there is no way I would choose the 360/PS3 version.
 
It looks like one of those PS2 games emulated on PC with high resolution, it's going to be low poly mixed with some new hardware level effects. Gross.
 
I'm honestly surprised that the gameplay is the same. I would have thought that a full open world AC isn't possible on the current gen.
