Well, it's not the be all end all of things, but man, is it really annoying. Hopefully everything is running stable for you guys gameplay wise on launch. I won't be picking it up till Infamous or The Order. I hope features that are on my PS3 are added to PS4 by then...
Many Sony, couldn't just stay perfect? I mean, these basic features...and why not just say "not as this time" these things are standard features on just about every entertainment tech released in the past 5 years.
Hopefully this is the worse thing to come out of Sony.

nope. Don't worry though, sony offers plenty of streaming services for your movie needs! Remember that 10 minute segment at e3 where some random head honcho and named all those awesome Adam Sandler movies! You can get em all for that low low price on ps4!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because while I have read his previous tweets and know how we interacts with the community "future consideration" is a common way of brushing concerns aside, used by everyone who wants to avoid a sticky issue.

probably close to the kinect being included with each console. If I have to buy another device or use a pay service to stream music to my tv, then I might as well spend the extra bucks on the Xbox with the kinect thrown in. That's all things being equal...which they aren't, but yeah, it's a big deal.
Agreed, but their solution to DNLA is laughable. They should include it in the future and make it more reliable. The fact that we had to depend on a freeware solution made by 1 guy to get this stuff working properly was ridiculous.
No, but that was pretty funny.
Honestly, they'll probably add it in. The Ps3 had so many dumb little extra things that 1/100th of the ps3 population never used. DNLA was not one of those things.

DLNA works just fine for me with PS3 Media Server. I don't need fancy library views or cover art; I'm happy just having something that lets me stream music and video to my TV quickly and without any additional hardware clutter.

It is for me. The only media function I used on my PS3 was Blu-ray playback.

Really? It's doing just fine on iTunes.. The biggest music distribution conglomerate in the world.
Anyway, I own all of the Beatles on CD and MP3.. Why shouldn't I be able to listen to those on my PS4 with it's 500GB of hdd space...

To each their own. I'm buying the PS4 to play videogames. If I want to watch netflix, hulu, prime, stream videos from my PC I'll just use the support that is already in my TV.
I find all this somewhat comical to be quite candid. Back when the consoles were shown at E3 the majority of individuals lambasted Microsoft for developing an entertainment device and applauded Sony for making a videogame console. Now people are foaming at the mouth because their videogame console is not a full fledged all in one entertainment device.
I recently read about his role in helping market the original Crash Bandicoot in Japan. The guys always been loveable.
He was talking about DLNA support and got confused with Windows Media Extender support. He later corrected himself.
Why? Just subscribe to Music unlimited! Then you can do whatever it was the ps3 and that old ass thing... the ps2 was it? Can do! Then if it's movies you went, well then you're in for a treat! Just rent Hd movies off of sonys store for 5 bucks a night!!
