Tearaway uses both touch screens, the cameras, and IIRC the gyros too. I don't see how you could replicate any of that with a controller without redesigning the entire game.
I have one preordered so it better work in the US.

Immediate response as someone who just bought a PSVita, and wants vita TV... Get rid of the horrendous bubble icons, give us clean, well contrasted icons or let us use custom icons like on the PS3 (can we already do this?).
Otherwise change to something like Metro style icons, or just the current PS3 scheme. I just really dislike these bubbles.

I actually think the Vita ones work better in terms of recognition. At least they have different colours/pictures/styles.. Half of these icons look interchangeable to me. But I'm no artist, that's for sure.

Watching that video, I hope they cut down in the OS on the time it takes to take out / insert a memory card because last I checked, you had to reboot everytime you did that.

No. DLNA support was announced for Vita years ago but never implemented. Maybe now they'll make good on that promise.
I'd very much like the possibility play media from my nas. I don't think Sony likes dlna that much anymore though.. Subscriptions and streaming services is where it's at..

This. Vita's UI is hideous. I don't get it, why don't they overhaul it so it looks more like the PS4 UI? I have a Vita TV pre-ordered at Play-Asia and should be receiving it on 11/14 or 11/15 if all goes well. Looking forward to messing with Vita games on TV and hoping that the U.S. versions of the compatible games get patched. If not, I still have enough import titles to play around with. Also hopefully remote play will be ready for the PS4; looking to see how that works with both the Vita and Vita TV.

Yes, this is definitely a concern. When I saw that Gematsu summary in the OP, it gave me hope that some type of quick-sync method would be in place, but nope; it's either pop the memory card in or sync using PS+.
It's too bad that nobody thought to have a remote play set up allowing games from the Vita to streamed and played off the Vita TV. :/
North American accounts access the North American Playstation Store. If the Vita TV is exactly like the Vita, then there should be no problem with using an American account.

Exactly, I want a seamless transition between my PS4 UI and Vita UI. When I jump off my console and bring my vita on the go I want to feel like it's an extension of the PS4. I also hope they change the Ps3 UI/Theme to match as well, but I realize that might be asking too much.

Glad to see that Sony made a simple promotional video for the product like this. Nothing weird or fancy. Good stuff I say. Still am impressed with the price of the thing.
Thats a given its not going to be supported from the get go, considering the extra work necessary to make it functional. Even more so if the original team behind the project is already working on something else.

Would make it a bit of a pain in the ass due to the difference in size between the DS4 TP and the VITA screen. So developers would have to do that extra step to work it into their games.
That and you dont really need access to the rear screen anyways as hardly any games use it, plus with the DS controller you already have the L2 R2 buttons.
Im more for the PSV TV being a way for developers to step away from the touch garbage and just focus on making good games without the gimmicks. Which has been happening anyways as of late thankfully.
No PS3? This is a bit of an elaborate workaround for PS1 games

Dont have them loaded up on the PS3, since got these on the VITA to play on the go, though been getting irritated to shit with having to use either the rear or front screen set to L2 / R2.
The PSV TV was something I had planned to get from its announcement so its not like am purchasing it just for the Game Archive titles.
Thank goodness we have CC on youtube.

Yeah the shit is pretty broken for the CC and well 100% wrong lol. Wonder why even add a feature that doesnt even function correctly. Then again seeing how Youtube has been going lately am not surprised.
