Killzone Shadow Fall - Ultra High Bitrate MP Footage

1080/1080

Doesn't look very impressive. Oh well it's not unheard of with launch games. Great that they're going for the 1080p @ 60FPS in any case. Hopefully games will continue achieving 1080p @ 60FPS as the generation goes on and games will start looking better.

Watched it and...wow.
Looks even much better than BF4, but well it has smaller maps and a lower player-count, so you can't really compare this.
That's my thinking as well. I really love how this looks, and it's 1080p/60 which is kind of crazy. SP looks even a lot better what with crazy reflections and all.

Yeah, maybe they used that TMAA they were talking about/ co-working on.
Someone should ask. To me, it looks like some kinf of next-gen FXAA, less blurring than regular FXAA, and also with far more coverage than MLAA.

Wow, its gorgeous. Flat out, graphically, it smokes Ghosts. Its not even in the same league for fuck sakes. It is just a complete notch up.

And yes, watch this on WMP. Plays much better on there than vlc.

sad that you care enough to try to start in a shit thread where a lot of people are impressed by a game that looks good on console for the start of the gen.

Sad that he can't give his own opinion on a forum, i wasn't aware this was a Sony forum where one may only post positive things about them.

Looks great, but the maps appear to be quite small in size. Can anyone elaborate more on the typical size of the Killzone maps in multiplayer? In comparison I am not expecting Battlefield size, but I would prefer something a little bigger than the typical COD size maps.

A straight remux won't work. It has .wav audio and I don't believe mp4 can take that. PS3 will probably choke on it anyways.
Thanks for the tip! I was finally able to get remux.app to output MP4 when I had it re-encode the audio as 2ch AAC. Once I'd copied it to the PS3 via PMS, it played just fine.

Looks really nice and smooth but I couldn't help noticing that awfully limited fov. I was hoping next gen fps games would have wider fov but I guess not, fov under 90 feels way too cramped.

No frame drops/audio in sync as well? I believe the PS3 only supports up to 4.1 level AVC.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC#Levels
max framesize @ fps
1,280×720@68.3
1,920×1,080@30.1
2,048×1,024@30.0

that seems to be why I was having issues having it work correctly.

Shadows rendering is pretty terrible all along in KZ:SF.
Its probably the weakest component of this game from tech standpoint.

I wouldn't call it "terrible", not even close... except for that screen, shadows everywhere else in the video are fairly detailed.

Holy mother of god, this looks as good as battlefield 4 at ultra settings if not better it's scary considering this is a fricking launch title :o

Verr purdy. With each passing direct feed grab of something gorgeous from PS4, I'm happy that for the second time ever I'm buying at launch (last time was PS2).

Most were larger in previous installments. I guess there will be much bigger maps than this. Not huge though.

huh this is downloading a lot faster than even the highest I've gotten on Steam :o If only PSN did this back when I had my Ps3 that shit downloaded extremely slow.

@work cant see the video and as a console guy I have no idea how FOV numbers equate... is 90 bad?

Would you, or someone else, be able to give me an idea of this "90"... any other FPS like it? What are COD and BF at?

Dynamic objects do not receive shadows after certain distance.
Also shadow maps are generally low resolution, its especially visible in Hostage rescue footage.
I call it terrible, because some current gen games on current gen platforms handle shadows much better.

Yeah, maybe they used that TMAA they were talking about/ co-working on.

In motion it looks quite good, but in slow motion similar to other FXAA implementations. I think that they've added some kind of TAA component, so in higher fps it blends better.
My TV is quite crappy in 1080p mode, so i cant judge IQ correctly. This footage does not screenshots well, at least from IQ standpoint, but it is compressed, so its understandable.

Shinobi, Wario64?

I want this game because it looks great but hesitate because it seems rather mundane in the gameplay department. I've never palyed a KZ game. But it seems to lack the vehicle induced mayhem of Halo or BF. It seems slower than the fast paced action of CoD and it seems to have less soul than the brash nature of the Gears series. It just falls a little flat for me.

Does the owl spic it up enough to give it that edge? What excites you guys beyond the look?

Just got done watching this. This puts everything else to shame graphically. Simply amazing. And to top it off it looks like a ton of fun to play.

Looking good, a little too much fog masking all the beauty in parts though. And a little more aliasing than I'd like to see.

Can we get single player footage in this quality please? Guerilla, GT has done you zero favors with their absolute shit of a player.

Looks good, but the running animation seems... off to me. Looks awkward, especially in the beginning when you're seeing the guy in front of you run.
