I agree with Sessler. Gameplay is much more important than graphics.
Yeah, but running at 720p doesn't make gameplay better, you know.
I'll choose the games I'll buy based on gameplay, but I think it's completely fair to choose the system you'll buy based on its power, specially when it's cheaper.
And if we're talking about games, then at least when it comes to their launch titles, I think both suck.
So you can get nothing at 720p for $500 or nothing at 1080p for $400.
Or you can put like shit gameplay at 720p or shit gameplay at 1080p.
I'll agree that resolution and framerate alone won't make a game good (even though they might make a game
better), but some people downplay the importance of those things as if lower resolution meant the game would have great gameplay automatically.
I'll agree that there is a connection between graphics and gameplay as in most devs who focus a lot on graphics won't develop very deep gameplay systems that will drive the whole game being its core, at the same time as someone like Platinum won't have budget left for jaw dropping visuals, but when it comes to multiplatform games performing and looking better in one platform, there's nothing to talk about, it's objectively superior, end of story.
