NA GAF - Post your PS4 shipment info!

Amazon is a joke. Not getting the launch edition ps4 until Saturday. Called cs and apparently I should be happy I'm getting a ps4 at all.

Also stuck in the still shipping bummer zone of eternal agony. What's the latest anyone's ever received a shipping email and still received their package the following day?

Meh, they shipped it UPS. My UPS driver often doesn't deliver till 9pm here (they are supposed to stop ground shipping around 8, but my driver always hits us late).

All my stuff has shipped from Amazon now! Even the games that I ordered with free shipping and had an estimated delivery date date of next week, now say they're gonna get here tomorrow! HYPE
Between 10 AM and 2 PM apparently, which is around when I usually get UPS stuff.

...Why? They will get it to you on the 11/15. Never seen them miss an estimate.

I've had late release date deliveries twice. Both times it was on items that I pre-ordered BEFORE other people who were shipping to the same physical address shipped to, and theirs was on time.

They definitely do mess up.

AFTER your shipment is confirmed late, talk to their customer support people and they'll give you credits and other discounts as an apology.

Most likely, the bottleneck here is that DHL, USPS, UPS, and FedEx are swamped.

Lol, this is what I got from amazon.

Amazon.com: Your package with PlayStation 4: Launch Edition has been shipped. Expected delivery: Saturday, 16-Nov by 08:00 PM.

I just want my damn tracking number so I can set it up with UPS to pick up the package tomorrow morning rather that wait around all day.

I was also informed that people who got launch editions are actually getting a bit fucked over-- orders placed later that were non-launch in many cases shipped much earlier.

Thanks for the info. I think that's what happened to my package. Wednesday morning received shipping notice. Order proccessed and ready for pickup in Tennessee with a delivery date of Monday the 18th via UPS Ground, then no activity all day after that. Today, tracking finally updates. Suddenly, package gets an origin scan in Illinois, with scheduled delivery of Friday. Much closer to Minnesota than Tennessee. I thought something went wrong!

I'm in the same boat. If I could set people on fire merely with my ill-will, Amazon would be an inferno. Such bummersauce.

For anyone whose Amazon shipment seems to be in limbo, this info might be helpful.

And for anyone like Lighthouse or myself who changed the delivery to shipping center "will call" pickup using My Choice and now has a shipping exception, this might be helpful.

1. I have a good friend who works for UPS and has been anxiously tracking his own shipment today. I gave him my tracking number and he checked in their system to see what was up. He said that the exception was triggered by the change to will call pickup. Normally an exception is definitely a bad thing that can delay shipment, but in this case it is just triggered in the system with the will call change and should not be cause for concern.

2. Because Amazon has such large volume they will sometimes do what is called a "line pull". This means they will scan an item as shipped, but instead of having it picked up by the nearest UPS shipping center, they will load up their own truck and drive it to a hub that is closer to the final delivery location, which is why for some of our orders, it doesn't show a "received at hub" scan for a long time after the original shipment is scanned. They do this so that they can eliminate a step in the UPS chain that would normally cause the shipment to take an extra day. So in my particular case, my PS4 shipped from Arizona as UPS Ground today and I live in the Bay Area in California. For UPS, that is a two day shipment. So he assumes that Amazon did a line pull in Arizona and is driving it themselves to a hub which is much closer to our location in California and dropping it there, thus allowing the shipment to get to the shipping location which serves my house in one day.

Ok, that was probably way too much information, but it at least explains some of the weirdness many of us are seeing in the UPS tracking updates and the delays in them getting scanned at a UPS hub.

That slightly puts my mind at ease.

My issue is that I need that Number so I can change it to Will Call at my nearest UPS facility (took tomorrow off) and I have no idea when that will happen.

If this is still "shipping now" by the time I go to bed (after the Spike TV thing) there will be rage.

What is the point of ordering the second the page is up if you aren't going to fulfill this shit IN ORDER

Mine already left Illinois and is on it way to Minnesota, can't wait. Sucks I have to go get my check at 10 am. Home they don't try to deliver at that time.

Amazon still gives a delivery estimate of tomorrow by 8:00pm for my order, but the UPS tracking says Monday 11/18.

Of course, the UPS tracking hasn't been updated since the shipping label had been created, so it could be wrong. At least, I hope so.

Bay Area.

Shipped, finally, from Fernley NV.

Edit: this shit is UPS ground -_- don't do this to me amazon.

Well I think Fernley is only maybe 300 mi from me so not too bad.

They did for me just this week. I have a package I ordered on the 7th with 2 day shipping that still hasn't come in because it is in UPS limbo.

That would be UPS' fault, not Amazon's then.

I know it was mentioned in the thread somewhere, but can someone tell me if its possible to sign electronically or is there an option to confirm so that they will leave the package If it requires a signature? I signed up for the free My Choice account. Not sure if the ps4 will, but wanna make sure if I'm not home that it gets delivered.

This likely is the case. I'm noticing based on the thread that all the shipments coming out of AZ seem to be having the issue (including mine). Mine has been in shipped status for ~23 hours, and the tracking on UPS site has yet to update with no delivery date, just the label creation date. I talked to a UPS agent, and she confirmed in her system that there is a delivery scheduled for my shipment tomorrow. So don't fret too much about the info on the site not updating. If concerned, just call UPS and have an agent confirm that there is a delivery scheduled for tomorrow. Bay area here as well.

Just checked today and best buy shipped mine out.

Did express shipping so my guess is i'll get it saturday?
Still no progress on the actual ups tracker though.

A little birdie (disguised as a miserable cashier) told me that Wal-mart should have plenty of extra PS4's after handing out the pre-orders. Especially in smaller cities

Chicago here and still shipping soon. Wtf? Customer service was of no use at all. They said its because the system doesn't release until tmrw. When I asked how they were able to guarantee me delivery on 11/15 yet I still have no tracking number they were unable to provide an answer.

Fuck.

On the Giant Bombcast a few weeks ago they received an email from a Target employee who gave the following advice:

Call a Target and ask them to tell you where the closest low volume store is. You'd have good chances there apparently.

Bay Area.

Shipped, finally, from Fernley NV.

Edit: this shit is UPS ground -_- don't do this to me amazon.

Well I think Fernley is only maybe 300 mi from me so not too bad.

Same exact thing here. Weird that it's just ground. Maybe it will update when UPS picks it up and it goes through their facility.

You're Portland right? Is yours shipping from Arizona?

nope. Tracking says Breinigsville PA. So it better hop on a fast plane and hurry up lol. You know that's a long ass trip, but still says estimated delivery November 15, so fingers crossed.

EDIT: Tracking on the FedEx website says should be delivered by Friday November 15 by 3:00pm, so not worried at all.

Am not worried about getting it on time am much more worried it dying or DOA, am going to playing the console with lots of anxiety.

same here man. i am not even getting it tomorrow. tomorrow it will be sent to Aramex " a freight company" that will send it to KSA. so if i am lucky i will have it next week. but that doesn't mean anything. i just want it to work. i am praying i have no issues.

Mine is in Lexington KY. I live about two hours or so away.

Mine hasn't been shipped yet, but I'm near the Lexington warehouse as well (Murray). Still hoping for the best.

I'll be super upset if I don't get this thing Friday. I ordered as soon as the preorders went live, and as I said earlier it's basically why I purchased Prime.

Mine already left Illinois and is on it way to Minnesota, can't wait. Sucks I have to go get my check at 10 am. Home they don't try to deliver at that time.

Not doing the hold at My UPS thing? My UPS sorting facility opens at 10am. I've read others open at 8am? I'll get 5 extra hours with the system by opting to pick it up myself instead of waiting for delivery.

My tracking says delivery scheduled for Monday. This can't be right.

Is your's like mine, that is only has "A UPS shipping label has been created" for the status?

If so, I still believe it's because the status is so far behind, and the delivery estimate will be updated when the status catches up.

As it turns out Fernley is only about 285 miles from the South Bay. So if that leaves within the next hour or has already left that's only 5 or 6 hours. Could easily be here tomorrow.

What's the deal with will call?

i really feel bad for the people working Support at amazon. You guys cant even just wait until the release day to be bothering them with your questions because the shipping info hasnt updated? come on now...
