Overnighted ps4 because Newegg gave me a little deal on it, I pay full overnight charge and will be refunded most back, guess what nothing, here in NYC.

Checked status, said will be delivered today then all of a sudden in the last five mutes it says N/A, kind of crap is this?

From Fedex Support:

"The service disruption was a fire and chemical spill causing the freeway into the Los Angeles airport to be closed down"

Guess those who ordered from Newegg are getting theirs next week even with overnight shipping.
 
Haha it says Monday. If it doesn't show... I will totally just drop amazon. Fuck their shit if they keep pulling this.

Fuck if they told me that their workers were just tired at the end of the day and like they couldn't get to my order I would be A OKAY... but they're all like it's an error on our end. What's the error? Im the customer. It's my item I should be able to know why!

That's the part that gets me. They lied to me straight up all day, right up to the very second that the update changed on the UPS site. UPS even messaged me at 6am this morning saying the package wasn't making it today, but Amazon said no problem! It's coming! Do you have more information or proof for me? Nope! But it's coming!


Just got called back. It'll be here Monday. No chance for Saturday. They refunded me my entire Prime subscription ($79) plus the $20 credit from before. Whatever.
 
Fellow Orlando area Chattanooga Amazon chump here that just got their UPS tracking info updated to 11/15 Jacksonville, FL at 8:54 PM. I highly doubt I'll get it tomorrow, but I guess we'll see.

UPS now estimates delivery for Monday the 18th. I will be stalking the UPS customer center starting promptly at 9:00 AM.
 
Had a little chat with Amazon and it served to be a complete an utter waste of my time. They acted as if there was no issue and that today is launch day and should go out soon. Just keep using the same excuse saying its a big ticket item. Felt like i was talking to a PR spokesperson with automatic replies. Asked for when i can expect it now and they couldn't tell me. No estimate what so ever. No compensation offer, those who go got more helpful info did you call them or use the chat? I feel that by using the chat they seem not to care. Said they will email me when it ships, no duh so what. If its not here tomorrow i call next time and they will get an earful. Very displeased with them right now.

Someone said you can give a review of the person you chatted with how?

There should be an automated email sent to your email address after the chat asking for feedback. If you leave poor feedback you can have a rep call you to followup, thats what I did to get better support.

I still can't believe the first rep had the never to close the chat the way she did. Shit was so ridiculous.

Sounds like the last one. They had no idea what was going on, but UPS was spot on the whole time. Monday it is, for all of us.
 
Is this the thread to complain about Amazon and UPS failing to deliver my "Guaranteed Launch Day Delivery" PS4 on launch day? Sure PSN is flakey and all and I probably would have never managed to login to PSN to download Resogun from the store. But not being able to get my PS4 until Monday blows. Especially since I'd arranged for my 4 yr old to spend the night with his grandparents so I could get some uninterrupted play time in.

Amazon is apparently unable to get UPS to upgrade to Saturday delivery for a shipment in progress. And UPS refuses to make good on their missed delivery so it'll be Monday, probably later afternoon/early evening if my normal UPS delivery times are any indication.

Amazon's initial make good for missing their guaranteed delivery was $25 + 1 month of prime extension. To which I countered with "That's a pretty tame offer for missing a guaranteed delivery date on a major product launch for a product I pre-ordered on the first day it was available in June." Their response was to go to $40 + 1 month of prime extension which I took because I didn't feel like fighting for more and I'm pretty goddamned irritated right now...

#GreatnessAwaits until Monday

The rep I spoke with on the phone said there was an actual issue at the warehouse in Tennessee that led to the mixup. Definitely didn't seem like it was a UPS issue even though the first rep tried to blame it entirely on UPS.

My order is in Jacksonville right now. The guy said he tried to get it to me by Saturday but couldn't guarantee it. So I guess I'll hope for it tomorrow but I expect Monday.
 
im not going to email and complain to them but...kinda ridiculous that i ordered like june 10th? or whatever the very first day was. and i didnt get mine ...so much for launch day edition or whatever

In NE Florida and fellow Amazon victim here. This is the biggest fuck up I have personally experienced in the years I have used their site. Their initial response to this for me was a joke, they refunded me $5.99, while giving my buddy in the same situation $50 for his initial complaint. You better believe I ended up with $50 as well, but I guess I didn't push hard enough to get a $100 refund as I see some on here got. As someone who placed an order the moment they opened on Amazon I am just still amazed they could mess this up as badly as they apparently have. To kick it all off apparently a bunch of us just had our shipping update to show them here in Jacksonville. WTF UPS and Amazon, this is absolutely unacceptable. I expect will we be seeing a much more coordinated corporate response on this soon, as it affected too many to let this just go away. I'm half considering canceling the Xbox One I still have preordered, except I almost want to see what kind of train wreck they manage to make that launch into at this point. We should all be getting full refunds, this is such a colossal mistake. If they had notified us earlier we could have at least all gone to a store and walked in and grabbed one before they had sold out by tonight. Just wow.

Before that time, they could have upgraded me to Saturday delivery but instead of doing that they decided to tell me everything was fine and that I'd still receive the package today. Then, when that turned out to obviously be untrue, they told me they could get it to me on Saturday. When that turned out to be false...

I'm sure you're seeing the pattern here. If they had leveled with me, I wouldn't be as annoyed as I am now.

Haha yeah. The first rep I spoke with said I couldn't cancel the order at all because the order was already processed and they already took my money. Even though I didn't get the item, the item that I ordered on June 11th which was more than 5 months ago. She said I would have to return the item, presumably I would have had to pay the return postage as well but I didn't bother to ask because I actually want my damn PS4.

Exactly, they told us all they shipped the damn items when in reality they hadn't apparently. I have never seen something like this happen, you better believe some people are answering for this right now somewhere to a pissed off boss.
 
So annoying, they shipped it this morning and won't arrive until Monday. The catch? I'm out of town on a business trip until Weds. So now i have to find a way to reschedule my LAUNCH PS4 that I pre-ordered the second it was available for hopefully Weds. I called to try and accelerate it but they said they couldn't because its already shipped and its in UPS's hands now.

I'll never do this again. I could have easily snagged a pre-order and done a midnight launch but wanted to avoid the stress and just have my trust worthy Amazon handle it. This resulted in way more stress than any other launch since my PS2 camping out campaign

My b2g1 shipment got changed to Monday and the PS4 is now saying: "We are unable to retrieve tracking information at this time. Please contact customer service for further assistance."

Don't roll over on this shit, demand a partial refund or credit. Amazon made a mistake here, and every single one of us will be compensated by the time this is done I'm sure. Unless you don't have Prime, then they probably don't care.
 
My package still says its going to be here by today at 8:00. I wonder if they will bother updating the date this time, not like delivery date actually means much.

If the package has shipped, they can't upgrade the speed. That's the answer I got not twenty minutes ago from a UPS rep. That's also what Amazon was saying.

I have no reason to doubt them, since it would have been much cheaper for them to do it instead of giving me $60. Like I said though; They had a window in which to do it (before UPS picked up the package) and completely neglected to do so.

i got an estimated ship time of tuesday because they shipped it to a wrong facility, only thing saving me is giantbombs stream and me and my pal hung out and my girlfriend is back in town tonight, so i guess its ok. i feel better now than i did this morning.

My camera shipment said shipping now all day. I talked to a CSA last night he guaranteed it for today. Talked to one earlier today and he said I was good to go but worst case tomorrow and they would discount me (I didn't ask he offered 20%). A bit ago I got a shipped email with Tuesday delivery! No way. Chatted up a CSA and showed them past transcripts. Tried to blame UPS for not picking it up and said sorry. I told them no way and I was a Prime member and that's stupid slow shipping. Then they told me it would be here tomorrow and gave me a month of Prime free. I still do t believe them.

I have the same problem with Newegg. I am in NY with overnight shipping and got nothing. Wonder if I should complain. I would have had free shipping otherwise if they didn't offer 10$ overnight shipping. :/

I'm pretty sure this is going to happen to me as well (Live in Yonkers). I'm just glad I didn't request any time off for this.
 
This just sucks for me, as I have had to hospitalize my dog over the last two days, at an expense of over $3,000, to find out she has multiple tumors on her heart, liver, and spleen. This was the distraction I was looking forward to, to keep my mind off her poor self in a strange place with IV's and stuff. Amazon has really kicked a guy while he is already down on this one. Dammit. Such a 1st world problem, but damn.

Sorry to hear that. It isn't Amazon though, it is their shipping partner. Packages I get from Amazon that are not UPS always arrive when they should.

I'd say the problem for Amazon is that placing smaller orders has become a headache (bumped up to $35, but then half of the items aren't eligible for the shipping OR prime two day delivery) and while larger orders process fine, they don't get delivered on time.

It is getting to the point where an elbow to the ribs on black friday seems like a pleasure by comparison.
 
Yep getting ps4 Monday most likely, FedEx just called me, paid for overnight shipping with Newegg, they sure better refund shipping at least.
