Uhg, that's worst than in Spain then. I have Dec. 4 as an estimate. But I still hope they update it to launch date closer to launch. Maybe this week?

Did you even get an e-mail? I reordered with *********** around November 1st, after I heard that Blockbuster couldn't give me my preorder and they said I'd get my bundle for release day but now I'm worried that I've not gotten an e-mail about it haha.

Nope, no email. I ordered even later than you on Nov 7th but it still said I was guaranteed release day delivery. Gonna assume they're processing things chronologically and ours will start later in the week... hopefully.

Someone probably asked earlier in the thread so forgive me if it's been covered already BUT:

are the PS4 units going on sale in Europe (well, the UK specifically) from the same "batch" as the the ones in the US that have crashed/BLOD?

Details needed.

I nearly preordered with shopto, but something didnt sit well with me when I signed up. They asked for a credit card, said they would charge it a pound to verify the account. Cool. Went to then preorder once the card was charged, the card didnt show up in my list of cards. That alone was enough to spook me.
 
What do you guys reckon, ShopTo with DPD next day delivery or Amazon with Prime one-day delivery?

I'm so conflicted, as silly as that sounds

According to a post in the 1 million sold thread, the Euro consoles come from an October batch and are from a different production line.

The defective consoles are mostly september ones. August seems to be mostly fine.

That said, it was a pretty random post and from someone who has given no indication they know what they are talking about. Take with a grain of salt.

Edit: We do know that there at least a few Euro consoles out in the wild. There hasnt been any reports of faliures yet. *touches wood*
 
only 9 units are coming to a store near me (only 2 stores selling PS4 up here).. I´m number 8 on the waiting list.. nr. 9 is reserved for the store.. I´m going to be REALLY pissed if I don´t get mine..

Just completed my weekly check of my Amazon order. Not looking forward to next Friday, I have the day off and I just know they won't deliver until late in the afternoon. :'(

Let me join you guys.

Pre-ordered from Amazon UK on June 22nd, upgraded to the Gamer Bundle later on.

Express delivery to mainland Europe. Which probably means I will get the box somewhere near 3rd or 4th of December. Only KZ and NFS at launch. But all the comparisons to the PS2 launch scare me - the first PS2 I bought was from a defective batch. I do not want my PS4 to be defective, because that would delay me playing it by a month at least.

Definitely DPD, I love how they give you one hour delivery windows. Amazon sometimes use DPD, but they seem to choose the courier at random when it comes to Prime deliveries. I'd be terrified if it was left to Yodel.
 
Zavvi have some ridiculously expensive bundle launch stock. It's a bit sleazy for the people who just ordered the base console from them.

But how are you in doubt? Are you afraid they won't get the 9 they've been promised?
 
Do you guys think we should have a PS4 Euro OT - i would make one but a bit closer to launch (maybe on mon. next week). What do you think?

Same here. I'm assuming that we won't get any e-mails until they actually ship the console though, since we've already pre-paid. The e-mails going out are just billing ones, aren't they?

damn, these will be the longest 10 days of my life. thinking that lot of people in the USA are playing with it make me crazy, lol.

+1 on DPD.. used them loads for work and home.. they always deliver quickly and are careful with your products. and they are friendly..

Yodel are a nightmare.. i've had some of their drivers just leave stuff on my doorstep without even rapping the door.. and driving off.. even for signed for etc.

they had handwritten pieces of paper with peoples orders.. as far as they could tell I was nr. 8.. BUT they might have missed a note or 2..

and if they don´t get the number they were promised.. then I will have to wait untill fucking february ..

Oh, as already mentioned it's nothing overly serious.

I'm just annoyed with how they marked up the bundles (£15-£20 higher than most places) and then messed up the mega bundle allocation(People who ordered after getting offers before earlier pre-orders etc).

Thank God I still have a bunch of PS3 games to play ( and look forward to ), so 10 days will be a breeze. And I don't even care about a somewhat scarce launch-lineup, as the PS3 is still delivering. They can co-exist, you know!

Anyway, excited for Resogun, Killzone and NFS: Rivals.
 
Can't wait. Will take off next week on Friday, get up 7 am in the morning, drink coffee go the local electronic store, pick up PS4 with Killzone and AC4 and then it's open end gaming.
