That's why I raised my eyebrow at a post on here yesterday ( I didn't reply to it) suggesting that the next gen will have the same launch supply pipeline issues and result in scalping. Even taking away the idea that hoarding multiple $1000 consoles to flip is just a 'tad' different from doing it with $400-500 ones.......speaking personally, nothing about the way this generation has played out has me foaming at the mouth for the next gen even if the consoles launched at the 2020 prices. Like outside of a few FOMO whales.....what's the next gen going to bring but more of the same just way more expensive, that's gonna have people running out to buy in day one?I'm not boycotting anything, I just don't see the point anymore. Consoles are supposed to be cheap, and once you start hitting certain price ranges they lose that advantage, and appeal, IMO. And, frankly, let's be honest, this was a bad time for console prices to skyrocket, because this generation has been an absolute shitshow in general. You can't follow the worst console generation in decades with double the price tag and expect people to be happy.
