So i'm still on the hunt for an Xbox One for launch, I pre-ordered that one off Amazon a few days ago that someone posted but its still stating Delivery Estimate unknown and its changed on the site to "guaranteed before christmas" which doesnt help at all.

I saw on Gamestop.co.uk that the console + Fifa and console + CoD has no note about the delivery whereas the day one edition states not for launch, any idea if they have some left for launch still or if this is a mistake and the website hasnt been updated?

I'd really not go the route of ebay if i can help it but would like one for launch (Should have pre-ordered earlier i know but earlier I was adamant I wasn't getting one at launch).

Asda have some day one stock. Quote to see link.

Code:

Launch Day PS4 console with Knack for £385 is up on Tesco (quote to reveal):

If you're a new customer you can also use the code "TDX-RVNH" to get £10 off.

Do play.com ever run any good offers anymore since they essentially became a rubbish version of Amazon Marketplace?

Just checked 3DSXL prices on there and everything is like £40 more expensive that it's Amazon counterpart.

And why in God's name does the Pokemon 3DSXL not come with either edition of Pokemon? :D

Shopto usually do some good random deals on there now and then. You have to grab them fast though.

Website says it's on 'til the 28th but yeah, sounds like an awkward promotion to take advantage of. Weird that they wouldn't take yours though, since your component cable is actually a more attractive deal than a composite would be!

Huh, so it does. GAME must have extended it, as it was definitely 14th last week, as I was desperately trying to track down said composite cable. No matter, think I ended up with the better deal. Traded at Grainger, while getting my stack of games put through on trade, off hand asked for a Reward Card. Turns out I got 5% off my first purchase, double points on everything I was trading and the points for the Wii U and games, so ended up with £8 of points on the card on top of the Zelda console, ZombiU and W101 for £270, along with the original Wii still to trade in.

What's the current best deal on a TV over 40" with a refresh rate over 50Hz? I've been looking around to upgrade my 720p TV to a 1080p one but all the 'deals' I can find are for 50Hz TVs and if I'm buying a new TV for my PS4 there doesn't seem much point in compromising on refresh rate.

They will say 50Hz because (I assume) you're in a PAL area, but I was under the impression that pretty much all TVs these days have 50 and 60Hz modes.

Hmm, that seems odd. Why not just then market it as a 60Hz TV for marketing purposes, by the marketing law of bigger numbers are better?

I just dropped £520 on a 42" Bravia, 100hz native (200hz cmr) and it's a beautiful thing. 2013 model as well. aaannddd now it's £499 on Richer Sounds. Hmph.

that's a 50/60Hz set. The motionflow seems entirely a lie. Motion resolution is still 300 lines as with most normal LCD screens.

It is still a fantastic set though for the price - and probably the best for gaming with super low lag. I'm tempted to get the 50" version for £750

Looking for a good deal on a 32mb Vita mem card. Anyone knows about anything in EU/Uk that ships internationally?

Any cheap deals on the wondelful 101 anywhere? Been Wanting it for ages but refuse to pay full price.
£29.95 @ the the game collection still seems to be the cheapest, depends where your cheap line is!

Everyone remember Amazon black Friday approaches, no buying expensive casserole dishes this week!

Shiiiiit really? The dude who sold it to me said it was 100hz native :( :( Fairly sure it's too late to return it. ffs

Depends on how quickly you want it. They're fine, it's just it can be a a week or two before you get the game because sometimes they ship from Hong Kong.

Reliable - yes
But if you want to get it fast (and I mean fast as in zavvi delivery, which is still not really fast), then don't use them. My last orders took at least 2 weeks. Some took even more than a month. And it's also not customs safe. They ship from Hong Kong.

My last zavvi orders in comparison took 5/7 days
Thanks. I ended up ordering from Tesco eventually, especially wouldn't want to get hit with customs charges.

That's the one i picked up this weekend and it's lovely. I have the W653 model which has a black bezel whereas the W654 has a silver bezel. The 42" 2013 model also has 18ms input lag in Game mode which is phenomenal for a TV. Only 2 HDMI ports but for us with an AV receiver it's not too much of an issue. If it mainly for gaming then go for it but if you want 3D and extensive SmartTV features then probably look elsewhere.

It's been getting a lot of praise in the "I need a new TV" thread though.

According to the HDTV Test review HDTV Test - Sony KDL42 W653

So it's 300 when LED Motion is off and 1080 when on? mrklaw, what does it mean? :)

some marketing bull-shit.

its the refresh rate, maybe you wont see the difference until you dont have technical devices to actually analyse that.

a bit offtopic but its about the deal earlier:
can someone help me with rayman legends for vita? its US, as it says on the page.
can i switch to german subs(i liked the translations in origins)?
can i download the patch with a german acc.(which holds actually a few levels)?

I wouldn't go for the Play-Asia Rayman TBH, if the Invasion levels need to get downloaded through the store you won't be able to get them

are these levels a patch, which are being automatically downloaded or something only found in the shop or have to be downloaded separately?

i cant find any info about that on the internet...

I thought Ubisoft said they'll patch them in, which would mean it shouldn't matter which region your game is bought from.

Hello, just a quick question before I drop some coin: I wanna buy a PS + code on cdkeys.com, and when you add one into your basket, a warning "This product will only work in UK" comes up. Is that really the case? I live in continental Europe.

UK scratch card codes work only with a UK PSN account.

If your PSN/SEN account address in not in the UK and your PSN Store currency is for example euro, then those codes will not work for you. In that case you need to scour your local stores for scratch cards or transfer money onto your PSN/SEN account using PayPal.

Welp, that sucks. Sony are really dumb on this one. Thanks for the info. I assume it's the same deal with codes from other countries? I see codes with french, spanish, german flags... I can't change the country in my account apparently. So much for digital services...

I live in Estonia and Estonia isn't even a country according to Sony's lists.

So when the time came to register for PSN, I picked UK and encouraged most of my friends to do the same. Some picked Finland and regretted it rather soon.

If your account country is recognized by Sony, try transferring funds using PayPal. It's safe, it's secure, it works.

account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com -> login -> account tab -> wallet -> add funds to wallet -> PayPal.

Being able to choose your account country is one of the best things about the PlayStation.

I buy everything on the US store, because it's so much cheaper. US and UK are the only two worthwhile country settings.

AFAIK, this doesn't work if your PayPal address is not in the same country as your SEN account.

I'm in Croatia but I have a UK PSN. I tried adding funds to my account via PayPal without success. It drew the amount from my bank account only to have it immediately returned a couple of seconds later. SEN page showed some error message ("Unable to complete transaction" or something in that regard).
I buy all my PSN funds via game.co.uk (instant digital delivery of PSN "wallet ups").

Why do you advise using Paypal? I assume that's to buy content on the PSN, right?

Right now I'm just talking about the PS+ codes. I guess I'll just get one directly on the PSN at the regular price.

I was hoping the levels would get delivered via patch, anybody knows for sure? If not I'll have to switch to my US account, which really sucks on Vita. Fix it Sony!

They refer to it as an "update" which will hit on Nov. 26th, I think it's safe to assume it'll be a patch and not DLC!

Yes, this is a know fact. I cannot transfer funds to my SEN wallet using PayPal either, because my CC address and SEN account address don't match.

I was suggesting it to you since I thought your country of residence match for SEN/CC. Even so, the £40 price for PS+ 12 months is the best.

But you can't change the country in your account once it's created. It's dumb. People move around, sometimes they even cross a border.

Ok let me clarify: when I created my PSN account, I set it to France. Now, I want to get a PS+ subscription. I (wrongly, being used to Xbox 360) assumed that as long as a code is european, I could use it. So I started looking for the cheapest option and that's cdkeys. They sell UK codes, which in the end are not compatible with my FR account, as you confirmed earlier. So either I have to get a French code if I buy a code somewhere else than PSN, or I just get the PS+ directly from the PSN at the regular price. I guess that I'm going to do the latter, it's just easier and faster.

You could also just create another PSN account and use the UK code that way.
However this will only work properly on PS3. And even then - all PSN+ account-specific features won't be available on your France PSN account (for example cloud-saving), but "free" PSN+ games will be playable.

Thanks for the tip, but I don't want to create another account. I shouldn't have to, actually. The fact that physical codes are country specific for Europe is just something I can't wrap my head around. It's just dumb. I'll probably just get PS+ directly on PSN.
