Cheap Arse Gaffer |Europe| We Need To Go Cheaper

But you can't change the country in your account once it's created. It's dumb. People move around, sometimes they even cross a border.

Ok let me clarify: when I created my PSN account, I set it to France. Now, I want to get a PS+ subscription. I (wrongly, being used to Xbox 360) assumed that as long as a code is european, I could use it. So I started looking for the cheapest option and that's cdkeys. They sell UK codes, which in the end are not compatible with my FR account, as you confirmed earlier. So either I have to get a French code if I buy a code somewhere else than PSN, or I just get the PS+ directly from the PSN at the regular price. I guess that I'm going to do the latter, it's just easier and faster.

I don't know if it is the same for France, but FNAC regularly has 10% off days which includes PSN Currency and plus cards so you can get a €50 card for €45. If you combine it with the typical 12+3 promotion, it is still a good discount.

has anyone bought stuff from the game collection? if so what are your experiences. do they come sealed? what are their delivery times like etc.

I'm not in France right now so, not an option. Ordering from Amazon.fr is roughly the same price as PSN with shipping. And they're out of stock. Ordering directly from PSN seems, surprisingly, the best option for me right now.

What's the best deal on PS+ 12 month codes?

If I buy it now, there aren't any restrictions are there on when I can redeem it? I just get 12 months from whenever I use it?

I'm hoping to buy now and keep it for when I get a PS4 by xmas.

Shit, I waited too long and missed the £229 refurbished 1080p 40" Toshiba on the Argos eBay. What's the current best deal on a full HD tv between 32"-42" for around £250?

Thanks for the tip, but I don't want to create another account. I shouldn't have to, actually. The fact that physical codes are country specific for Europe is just something I can't wrap my head around. It's just dumb. I'll probably just get PS+ directly on PSN.

Just to clarify, you can buy codes from other Europe countries, just not from the uk because they don't use the euro (I imagine that's the reason). I've bought cards from Spain a bit cheaper than the ones over here (Portugal)

PLOT TWIST! I thought it applied to all the cards.

Obrigado pela dica amigo!

Don't they have the warning that they can't be used in other countries?

Heads up to Portugaf, looks like worten will have 20% off on everything this weekend so it should include consoles and games.

Edit: hmm, looks like it's store credit.

I've been reading around and it would seem like some people say they don't work in other countries even if they are from the eurozone, so maybe it isn't as simple as I said, I don't know how I was able to use the ones I bought if that's true though.

Probably not worth the risk to try it out though.

Unless you want the games leaving plus in November it's probably better to wait as there will almost certainly be a decent offer on before Xmas, either in shops or on PSN.

Depends on where you live and the address on your PSN account.

I looked into it a bit more, and Spain and Portugal were/are arranged by Sony Computer Entertainment Iberia. Maybe they're just the same store for both countries.

It's like having the Homeland writers in this thread, too many twists. Anyway I just bought PS+ directly from PSN, problem solved.

Amazon have the Tales of Symphonia remake CE up for £39.99, which I imagine is a misprice since it's a big box edition that comes with figures, a multi-disc soundtrack and an artbook.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FZVWEUS/

RRP in the US for the same edition is $100, so I expect it'll actually cost around £80 like the Xillia CE did. Probably be cancelled, but worth a shot.

Pre-ordered, cmon Amazon, honor the few mistakes that happen :P

No doubt they'll just be sly and change this to the regular edition at £39.99.

Thanks, preordered immediately. Going by Amazon.de this should be 80€ normally.

Just received an e-mail from GAME giving me a £10 off voucher code for Battlefield 4 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. I have no use for them because I'll be getting it on PS4.

The £10 off code - q9wezpj8

The £5 off codes - fyjyw87a

They're not Zavvi. What they'll do instead is just cancel loads of people they do not have enough stock for as amazon UK do not believe in limiting inventory for limited edition items. What this does is leads to more orders than they can fulfil so they will just cancel most people close to if not shortly after release. That is what happened with limited edition Hyrule Historia and the original release of The Sky: The Art of Final Fantasy.

Beautiful, thanks! I actually still have the US collectors edition pre-ordered from before it was confirmed here and i still do because it's taking ages for namco to open the pre-orders up. Fingers crossed this doesn't get canceled.

So, do i have any other options?Any other shop that has this edition?
Thank you!

All the bigger outlets are carrying those, really... all of them even have different preorder extras.
Amazon UK
GAME
Zavvi

Shoppe Two probably sell them too.

Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Any discount codes I could use on Zelda 3DS at Game? Forgot it was out tomorrow and would happily grab a digital code off Game if I could save a few quid

Edit: do game send 3DS game codes instantly?

I think Amazon just glitched up in my favour. Ordered FIFA on PS4, they sent me two emails saying I had £22 off qualifying next-gen games. Added Battlefield 4 to my cart, they applied *BOTH* discounts in one go, so I got BF4 for £3.

Happened to me and a friend yesterday and Amazon already sent out the second copy of Battlefield 4 (ordered Fifa/BF on XBO)

Awesome!! :D God knows what's happening there then!

Zafir, basically you *supposedly* need to trade in a current gen game to get a £22 discount voucher towards a next gen title. My order fucked up, I bought FIFA on PS4, and got £44 worth of vouchers. I tried adding all of the relevant games into my basket to see what discounts were applied, and they only applied to BF4. Cleared the other stuff out of the basket, and got it for £3!

What the hell my Amazon pre-order for an Xbone controller + play & charge has now got an estimated delivery date of December 20th to Jan 7th... now I'm not going to have an extra controller today. Thanks, Amazon.

Is there anywhere in Westfield that sells game stuff? I swear buying games in anywhere but zone 1 is impossible.

Oh right, I don't really trade Games in so Nevermind. :)

They also only notified me today that my PS4 copy of the skull edition of Black Flag won't be delivered until the 19th of December now. When I noticed it hadn't been dispatched yesterday, there several back and forth exchanges with customer service, going round in circles over and over again, only to be pretty much just told to deal with it and given a generous £3 voucher to use towards my next purchase. Fuckers.

Anyway, Westfield should have a HMV, if it's the Shepherd's Bush one you're talking about - otherwise the Stratford has a flagship GAME store, as far as I remember.

Zavvi have a £5 off £50 when you buy next gen games using a code. But most of their next-gen games are 1-2p under £50, so you'd need to buy two for the code to work so pretty useless

after GAME closed, they moved my preorder to Ealing Broadway - not too far on the tube?
