Should certainly be, they seem to have a lot of stock for it.
All of you are tempting me to actually buy Tearaway, but trying to watch how much i spend; that and I'm anxiously waiting for the Ys remake.

I think my avatar is not scary in the slightest, just look at all the happiness that froths off its face.
 
Downloading Need for Speed and Frobisher Says right now! Tearaway and Zelda next week when I get paid. What a great time for handhelds!

I can go for the "art" aspect but it depends on the game, I didn't like Flow but liked Proteus,

Intrigued by Flower, dollar per hour ratio is not bad I guess.

At least go in a few endings and see if it starts to click for you, if not... well, stuff isn't for everyone. As far as the puzzles go though, you're better off looking elsewhere as they are mediocre at their very best. (Though WAAY better than the 999 puzzles).

VLR is meant to be played for the story, if that's not drawing you in then put it aside and move on in your backlog.

I really liked the puzzles. I wish there were a game with various rooms to escape with those kinds of puzzles.

30€ are exactly 40$, this is probably the only case of fair change.

This has nothing to do with exchange rates unless every vita retail release in EU or UK is the same as Tearaway. My point is that Tearaway is budget priced in your territory.

Quick search on amazon.co.UK says most retail vita titles go for around 30gbp. This means Tearaway was priced lower than standard as far as I can see by 8-10gbp. If the game was priced at 30gbp like Killzone or Batman or Dragon's Crown my point wouldn't be valid.

But its not, so my point stands.
I'll consider buying it once it's selling for $25 or under.

Enough of this... I'm wasting time... And you know what they say. Time is rupees. 8p
 
So, uh, I just realized that I should use my Best Buy Gamers Club discount.

Anyone interested in me picking stuff up for them? It's a global 20% discount on new games, so Ys Celceta Anniversary Edition is $48 and Tearaway is $32, etc.

I gave you a non exchange rate related example. Another would be NFS: MW which was €50 vs $40 at launch.
We Europeans get ripped off all the time by paying more thanks to the exchange rate and also have situations were titles are mispriced.

woah that's pretty awesome!
if only Amazon can match these offers too. for Ys especially. not sure what to do with the physical cart.I'm strictly digital but ordered the CE w Amazon.

Amazon wouldn't match it because it's a member perk that costs $120 for two years these days. I just happened to get grandfathered into the new program.

And I've seen plenty of EU customers skip buying the game due to the ridiculous price in your market. If you're okay paying more for a game when it comes to your market because you really want it or something, more power to you. However, I have limited interest in Tearaway to begin with, so I'm not going to support SCEA and their stupidity (just like I didn't support Ubisoft with their half-assed Rayman Legends port, etc.).

You're missing out on one of the, if not THE, best Vita games ever. I get that you have your ethics and stuff; that's fine; it's just...sometimes you have to say "I'm going to forget about what some other country is being charged for the game and pay the same as I do every other major retail Vita game to experience this." IT'S WORTH $40 AND MORE. My friend, please don't miss out on this game because you don't like that Europe gets to pay about $8 less for it.

About Rayman Legends, it's a FANTASTIC port. It missed some bonus levels. You blew this out of proportion then and you still are. It missed about an hours worth of content. Do you remember ports back on GBA?! Think about it now. We have nearly the full console game, running at 60fps, AND we're getting the bonus levels via a patch in two days. I'm ECSTATIC to have been able to support Ubisoft with their port of that game.

Did you get it from Best Buy? They price match their own price drops for up to two weeks after purchase.

For anyone who still needs it, my discount works. $24 + tax if anyone's interested.
 
Corrosive hates tearaway character design, first and foremost. Sticking to his guns like he should, no need to get mad at one persons opinions... Hes not going to make or break the games sold...accept he wants to get it at a cheaper price. Majority of people do that for games in general. Ya know - have differing opinions. #GafEntitlement

For the record im maybe 1/3 of way through game... Give it an 8/10... Def worthy of a buy, depends on the consumers view on value regarding what price you think its worth. 40$ is great price imo

Corrosive also mentioned not liking the price due to the EU price difference. I was being serious.
 
Also, i still think kz:m crushes this game in terms of graphic fidelity. Tearaway is beautiful no doubt, but i think it relies more on style and clever magic than straight up raw power and gfx. Thankfully they added tons of subtle detail which makes up for the lack of scenery/textures/polys/etc. Also, to make clear im referring only to the game visually... This game is amazing, unique, and on another level in terms of gameplay. Soundtrack has disappointed somewhat from the developer diary and intro song(youtube) i saw/heard though. Still good in the end.
 
Just bought a Vita off that Best Buy deal.

Also, apparently Amazon will have a Vita bundle too. Walking Dead 3G Edition + Sly Cooper + Uncharted. It was on Wario64s twitter.
