GTA: San Andreas coming to iOS/Android/Kindle/Windows Mobile; controllers supported

Since this is never coming on Vita, I may just invest in a shield for games like this. I'd love me some portable gta besides the psp ones.

great news :D

i bought GTA III for my ipad and GTA vice city for my nexus and both had solid touch controls, just the sniping is a hassle for me, damn you 8 ball mission on that boat, infinite fails

plus i never beat GTA SA so this is good news since i want to play it again

God damn, the mods are quick with the port begging bans. :lol

This is cool, I'm not big on mobile gaming aside from the Sonic games available for android but it must look decent.

damn, mods are being really harsh lately.

i'm glad this is finally coming out. hopefully they'll work some magic with the control scheme.

Now a whole new generator can rage at the RC missions! I can't imagine how many will pass that if they use touch-screen controls over a controller. Oh god!

I really wish for a day when iPhone's have this option, or at least a controller that mimicks the design. I'm jelly of Android for this product alone.
Huh. I wonder how well it'd work with a Nexus 4. I mean, it's ugly, and clunky, but if it works....

GTA mobile announcement just wiped-out half the vita users on this board :P

Glad they're working on other things too at least.

Anyone want to bet on there being another 'unexpected problem' and having to delay the android version? Bring on the Rockstar & Apple conspiracy theories.

For those unaware they claimed there was an issue with the Vice City android version on launch day and delayed it, they had uploaded the apk to the app store for a few hours in which I managed to purchase it before pulling it again. With some apk modding I managed to get hold of the additional data files and it played fine. They weren't too happy when I started claiming they had lied on their news feed and they deleted all my comments.
They also filed a complaint against the video I uploaded to prove it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2wo0J58lJ4

nice

Completely expected. Will probably be $9.99 instead of $4.99. I wonder if it'll required Android 4.3+ or if they will stay low with gingerbread.

Also wondering if it'll support Gamecenter/Google Play Achievements.

I didn't know about gameklip, does it fit moto x as well? Great product.

I'm totally expecting them to add gyroscopic controls for shit and giggles to make these missions even more awful.

I feel like the majority of people that buy these GTA games on mobile boot it up for 5 minutes, say "wow" that this huge game fits on their phone now and than never play it again. I can't imagine playing through any of these games through touch only on that tiny screen.

Speak for yourself. I thoroughly enjoyed GTA3 and Vice City on my ipad.

Shinobi's skill in Ban Graveyard +5

Makes sense that San Andreas would be coming since the other two already have... and sold well. Controller support should also help.

I just wish it was on the vi.... WAIT A MINUTE! You can't get me, Shinobi!

What phone do you have?

An HTC One X. The controls don't work at all when I try to play. Had to call Rockstar Support and they basically told me that it's incompatible and I can get a refund if I want to but GTAIII and MP were only $.99 each so I was like eh fuck it.

Can't imagine how big this is going to be considering the size of Vice City.

Can't wait to buy this and debate playing it on my phone for months before deleting it having never launched it.

GTA III on my iPhone 4 was fun for a minute, but didn't play well enough to really get into.

It's technically impressive but not something I'd stay with. It's like wow, a few years ago this was the hottest home console game ever and now it's in my pocket.

I wonder how well it will run on the ipad mini, if at all, or will we all need to upgrade to A7 chips. Also, anyone made a controller addon case for the iPad mini yet?
